I understand how AGD is beneficial for affiliates to share knowledge and experiences and its good for me as an operator (not a white label) to read what's going on and understand things from your side. But as much as there are dodgy casinos out there that you all speak about, there are affiliates just as bad. I have a situation right now where I suspect an affiliate of fraud and want to ask you, the affiliate gurus, for your opinion. Should I be concerned or not, here are the facts:

a) All of the affiliate's players are paying with the same currency, SEK (although it is possible, doesn't see likely to me)
b) Same payment method (Neteller), and most are converting (Now, as much as I would like to claim that our conversion is high, it isn't normally that high at 98% and their all paying with the same e-wallet)?.
c) All are depositing at the deposit threshold set between us and the affiliate. (How convenient that none of the players opted not to make FTDs at our minimum of $20, but at the threshold we set together of above $20)
d) Why set up 3 different accounts? (ok, I might understand that if you have 3 sites, you might want to keep them separate to track things, but more work I think)
e) Most have @outlook emails.

When I look up the 3 account referring domains they all point to the same contact info (albeit private), although we are being sent invoices from 3 different companies.

I welcome your thoughts.. fraud or not fraud that is the question?

It sounds, walks and quacks like a duck, however:

- players playing with SEK can happen of course if the affiliate is having a website targeting Sweden.
- players playing with Neteller can happen if the player is targeting that, has a website that is attractive to bonus hunters/bonus abusers;
- that's weird, no explanation for that if it's not € 20. Doesn't fit either with bonus hunters/abusers. They either deposit the minimum or the maximum, not all the same amount somewhere just above the minimum deposit amount being the threshold.
- could be many things, like for example different shares on different websites, a tax thing, but also a thing to spread the risk and impact of winning players.
- could be that @outlook is relatively popular in some country, like f.e. @yahoo in the past.

Just to say, I think it's fraud, but bulletproof evidence is another thing. In the end, I would terminate the deal for new players, because it seems it's low-quality traffic.

While what Biti wrote is spot on, there's always that possibility that you are being audited by the affiliate. A lot of times we'd send a fews regs and deposit for the sake of tracking purposes. You'd be surprised how many programs fail.

Unless you have 'fraudulent' behavior of the players, I don't think it classifies as a fraud.

Well, on top of everything I wrote, seems odd that none of these players came back - not typical for us as our CRM is quite good... So when I add up all these factors, smells and looks like fraud to me.

Which can easily be: they were sent with the purpose to test your tracking codes and system. Once those showed to be in tact their purpose and mission was accomplished.

Hmmm.. seems excessive to have players make deposits and play to test our tracking.. Sorry not convinced.. They sent me invoices.. so it seems they have confidence in our tracking/system.

"Excessive"? In this stage of being online an gambling affiliate it's a necessity. Obviously it's your company and you can terminate a relationship based on your decision, but if it's only based on 3 deposits with no further activity seems illogical.

No, many deposits and high rate of conversion and they don't return... smells too fishy to continue with them..

@KasinoKing , this was my first thought, but didn't want to simply dismiss this affiliate as fraud and since you guys are the experts I thought I would run it by you guys first before I confront them. I always give the benefit of the doubt to the affiliate but in this case the evidence is overwhelming. I'm curious if I should confront them or simply ignore them - I think I"m leaning toward ignoring them, because I expect them to say their traffic is legit..

This industry is all about the money, if it looks like they're taking advantage to make money, they probably are.

It depends on what you want:

- Do you want to take the loss, but stop the deal? Then just stop the deal because of the low value of the traffic.
- Do you also want your loss back? Then you should gather enough evidence to conclude it's fraud, confront them and try to make a deal with them about paying back their CPA's.

I've been on both sides. Especially new or unknown brands are getting to deal with quite some opportunists. From fortune seekers to fraudsters.

The thing is that every opportunist knows that these brands are desperately looking for traffic. Typical for this opportunists is that they're looking for fast cash, hence CPA, flat fee, etc, have big and fast-talks until their invoice is paid, features brands on their website are changing monthly, have a certain type of brands on their top spots.

@wikiwins Paid commission on the same day after submitting the invoice. I haven't look into each reply inside the thread after I raised the dicussion, but it seems there was a lot of negativity around it which is extremely overstated. Thus, would like to defend Wikiwins and say that although there might be some unclearity inside T&C, I am personally eager to work with people who prove they are worthy to work with judging by their deeds. We worked with some partners having favourable T&C which in the end they changed and turned into complete b*sh*t.
