Hello,

Number1 affiliates hold my commission for 3 months already because some of my players made chargebacks.
At first, one of my players deposited a great sum in September, but they received a chargeback in October. When I told them that they have no negative carryover, they paid September commission.
After that, they stopped paying me at all explaning that lots of my players 'were flagged as chargeback threats' and asked to wait. I've been working with lots of programs and never had a chargeback, so that's the first time I see this.

I'm waiting for the payment since October with no replies now. An affiliate manager Arshad always says he was out of the office and I can wait for a reply for weeks. He said the management still haven't decided what to do here. Now I'm desparate and wondering if they are going to do negative carryover or just hold my commission forever?

If anyone had anything like this, please let me know. I still have a good sum at my balance and I'm not sure I'm going to be paid now.

Thanks.

Hopefully, he will get back to you on this very soon.

Why would someone, anyone at this program get back to Mary "very soon", when, her affiliate manager is dodging responses, and the program-management, have STILL not paid her, and have STILL not given her any further feedback regarding this matter (since I would assume Oct 2020).

Someone at AGD needs to send "Management" of this program, an email, requesting WTF is happening, here???!!!

We are still waiting for a response from the program.
In the meantime we went to check their website looking for more info on how they handle chargebacks, it shows this in the FAQ section:

Do negative commissions carry over?

There is no negative carry over on your commissions, however in the unlikely event that we detect any activity of fraud, it is at managements discretion to carry over such negative balances.

What happens in the event of a chargeback?

A chargeback is when a credit card merchant refunds a customer after the customer successfully disputes an item on their credit card statement.

Unfortunately, there are a small percentage of players who abuse this system. After making a successful deposit these abusive players claim they never made the purchase so they can get their money back from the credit card company.

Our casino takes every possible measure to prevent chargeback abuse, however, in the unlikely event that they occur, the amount you received for the players deposits as well as the fees incurred will be deducted from your revenue.

Hi Mary,

I trust that you are well. Mary, as you are aware, I have been in contact with you regularly regarding your account, players and on-going risk concerns due to chargebacks from your players.

Mary, you stated “I’m waiting for the payment since October with no replies now” - which is factually incorrect, I have been in contact with you regularly since you signed up with Number1Affiliates. You received a payment in October for your September commissions. However, the brands noted in early October that the majority of your earnings were from fraudulent players. You then went on to send through further traffic in October, a significant percentage of which appeared risky and displayed the same pattern as the fraudulent players from September (big deposits and account closure request sent on the same day). Some of these players accounts have been locked and closed due to historical fraud and Chargeback history with the brands processing company and the brands themselves. Some players have further threatened the brands with chargebacks, which they can do at any time (up to 12 months) and some already have.

The processor had also confirmed there were chargebacks received from one player at another operator, who had made significant deposits at one of the brands and closed their account shortly thereafter. Thus, the brands (through their processing company) do have an issue with your players. Furthermore we do not have a negative carryover nor are we able to exercise such through the system. A significant portion of your traffic was fraudulent, hence, we engaged in discussions with you, indicating that your account is under review and asked that you stop sending through players from your current source of traffic.

Historically, your players have shown chargebacks within the first six weeks of deposits being made. Due to the fraudulent nature of your traffic, management have decided to hold off payment for a short period to see if these also turn to chargebacks, and if not, you will be paid your earnings. Unfortunately, you do not have many other income generating players on our platforms for which you are earning a revenue share, as they have almost all been fraudulent.

I have been consistent in my replies with you, and I have been in contact with you yesterday (having returned from leave only yesterday). The management team are currently reviewing your account and are working on an amicable resolution. I will be in direct contact with you, and keep you posted.

At Number1Affiliates we value all our affiliates and would never withhold payments without a valid reason. We believe in transparency and always follow fair policies and procedures.

Kind regards,
Arshad

Hi,

At first, we've been in touch, but not after this situation happened. I was asking only once per month whether I'll get the commission this time.
I was getting replies only when I messaged someone else - another affiliate manager or affiliateguarddog, then I always received a reply 'sorry, I was OOO'. But that's not the problem. The problem is that your replies don't help now cause I have no updates, still nothing.

Chargbebacks can be usually made up to 3 months, not 12 as you're saying. Do you mean I should wait for my commission for a year?

'Unfortunately, you do not have many other income' - I don't understand that, I have a good commission, I wouldn't make a post here. And you have no bundling. I will write the sum for each month here if needed (including chargebacks ofc). Or maybe you decided to deduct something else?

Now, I just want to know what plans you have regarding my account, could you please share any updates, anything? Will I eventually get the commission this month? If no, then how long should I wait?

Thanks.

Hi Mary,

Many thanks for your reply.

Firstly, we understand your frustration, but please bear in mind that if the amount of negative traffic from your source was lower, we would have happily settled timeously. Regrettably, the majority percentage of your traffic posed a real risk for the brands, hence our discussions indicating a hold on payment as we had a lot of indicators and examples suggesting possible fraud. Also a high percentage of your players charged back within the first few weeks of deposits, thus management wanted to wait a short period before settling everything.

I can assure you that we have been transparent with the calculation of your earnings from day one. There were never any additional deductions – the only deductions would have been from the chargebacks accrued from your traffic.

Mary, I will be in contact with you later today to discuss this matter further, address any concerns you have and find an amicable resolution.

Kind regards,
Arshad

Hello,

The commission has been finally sent. I have been in contact with Arshad and he arranged the payment. The management decided to 'terminate our business agreements' though, so I won't be getting commission for my players further on, but that's OK, at least, I've got the commission owed.

Thank you all, guys! I'm not sure if I would get the commission if you were not involved. Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Mary

Hi Mary,

I’m glad to have resolved this issue. The only reason why we had come to a decision to terminate our business agreement was that majority of your players were returned as being fraudulent. The risk we face is much greater, if anything else. You have by no means been banned from working with us, and we are happy to reconsider a deal if your traffic sources change in the future.

Also, I had been working on having your commissions paid to you and communicating this to you accordingly, however, we had to simply wait for the review period to pass. So yes, you surely would have been paid once the review period had elapsed.

I wish you well in your future endeavors.

Best regards,
Arshad

Hello,

I would like to reopen this complaint.
I have consulted with some pro and we believe that what Number1Affiliates do is not correct, and we will be raising this issue.

The players I brought continue depositing ($8,689.65 from February) with NO chargebacks, meaning that I did have fair and good quality traffic. Now it all looks like I was cheated - I was accused of fraudulent traffic and 'banned from working with us'(number1affiliates) not to pay the commission for me anymore (right after this forum complaint).

However, they have no right to withhold the commission for my previous players since it was Lifetime RevShare. They can deduct the chargeback from my commission ofc and ask me to stop further traffic, but they can't just decide to stop paying lifetime revshare for the players I brought. Why would anyone start cooperation with them if they can do this at any time..

I know that I wrote here that it was OK just because I was desperate about the payment delay and I did believe them that my traffic was probably not OK. Now we can clearly see that it is OK, I can send you the proofs from admin.
They also told here that the only reason I'm banned was fraudlent traffic - now they see that it is not, and there's a bit more than $3k commission owed. And I believe I should continue getting commission for my players.

Please let me know if I'm wrong and if you can help me with this.
Thank you!
Mary

@marylee777 we were advised that after discussion earlier this year a mutual agreement was reached, to terminate the business agreement, and settle all outstanding earnings up until termination, 31 January 2021.
After this date, your account program was set to 0% RS, since the business agreement was terminated.

Hello,

Thanks for checking, but I did not sign any agreement. I wrote here that it is OK just because I was desperate about getting my previous commission and did not want to burden you more.
We terminated the business in terms of sending traffic, but they have no right to stop paying for my previous players.
Moreover, please check above - they told 'The only reason why we had come to a decision to terminate our business agreement was that majority of your players were returned as being fraudulent.' Now we see that it was not true, my traffic is diligent, they continue getting good money and just wanted to stop paying my percentage.

They were holding my commission for 3,5 months first with no updates, and then they stopped paying at all after this complaint. Why should any reliable company stop paying lifetime revshare because of the complaint of not paying. This issue needs to be reopened and my RevShare should be back at 35% (chargebacks deducted ofc).

Please let me know if you can do anything here.

Thanks,
Mary
