No surprise... it is still ROGUE. They are retroactively changing their affiliate's commissions.

* Is it a better model? Very slightly, but probably NOT without leaving in the cross marketing and using your tag.

* This still affects and hurts their lifetime affiliates... AND they are in breach of their own contract. It's shameful and unethical.

* We will not change until 2013? Ok. Great, let's screw over our valued partners more in 2013.

This isn't any better. I'm glad they are listening, but they need to listen fully. Make your new commissions model NON-RETROACTIVE and you are in the clear. The 15 % is too low, so it would be considered a warning - but at least they would be publishing the ridiculously low revshare instead of hiding it.

I agree. And getting 15% if you don't bring a new player that month is ludicrous.

I agree with everyone above.

Even with these changes, they are still breaking the original contract.

Affiliates who signed up with 25% being the minimum need to be paid at least 25% on those players for as long as they continue to play. Anything less than 25% on those players is a breach of contract.

Going forward (i.e. From Feb. 1 onward), they can use the new model (which is still predatory, by the way -- 15% is well below the industry norm of 25% to start), but they must continue to use the old commission model to calculate earnings on the players that were referred before Feb. 1.

And the whole thing about not changing the terms anymore in 2012 -- yikes.

Has anybody got any good lawyers who can advise on this ? Im not big enough of an affiliate to seek this kind of advice out myself. But im MORE than willing to throw money into a pot to seek the information and have a few nicely worded letters wrote in a class action style.

Ladbrokes need a sharp, swift kick in the pants.

Tar and feathering might work with this brand because they have an offline BRAND name to protect. Its not like they can pull the standard "screw them and rename ourselves," I don't promote them, but I'm with all you guys, and will not promote them going forward at this rate.

What is the point of mentioning 0 - 15%... if you have no players you won't be getting commission and I don't see why they are even putting it in the new terms. What bothers me in the email is this

"Based on discussions and feedback from our affiliates, we believe that in this way we are better incentivising our Casino, Bingo, Games and Poker affiliates as we have improved the player sign up levels to reflect these products."

Basically they are saying to us, "Based on YOUR feedback dear affiliates, we decided to change the commission to this hence if there's someone to blame it must be you".

Now I am confused, is this a lie, or r there affiliates out there that actually proposed this new structure?

This comes in to play when players from previous months continue playing beyond their first month.

For example, if you have a bunch of players in your account, all referred in 2009, you currently earn at least 25% of the player losses. For simplicity, say you earn $25k in residuals each month.

As of Feb. 1, Ladbrokes will begin stealing 40% of this residual income. Instead of $25k, they'll pay you only $15k (15%).

That isn't fair or legal because the original contract said "25%" regardless of how many "new" players they are able to convert from the traffic you send.

This payment model encourages sending lots of low value players and refraining from sending good, steady hobby players that produce good income over a long period of time.

It's quantity over quality. So, one is best off targetting only bonus players and trying like heck to not send any whales or long term players.

That is not my business model, and I will not be sending any players since all I can do with this is lose money.

I would never do business with any bookie that reneges on a deal.

If Ladbroke's will renege on a deal, they will renege on a bet.

In my opinion, Ladbrokes are no longer trustworthy as a bookie, let alone as a business partner.

Did anyone get to chat to LB about this at LAC? I was stuck in the poker for most of the time so only just managed to make the meetings that I had, so didn't really get time.

Would be interested to hear what they had to say for themselves though ...

Tomorrow is 1st February, and then they want us to accept the new terms if we login to the new program, right?
Of course I will not do that! Would like to know if Ladbrokes is keeping this up now or will they still change?

Change what :)? They are going with it, won't change for this thread or any other out there.

Over here, two affiliates posted a few things that their Ladbrokes affiliate managers told them verbally.

In my opinion, unless the statements come directly from Ladbrokes, they are pretty much meaningless. We need written proof -- not hearsay.

I am considering legal action depending on how it all turns out over the next week. However I would be more than willing to put some money in here.

I just read here someone said they are CLOWNS!! haha - that is so true. What a another disgrace to the industry - such garbage. They are just another bwinparty if you ask me.

They deserve a real trashing - just pathetic, but I am not surprised. Like i said in December 2010 when BWIN did something along the same lines - I told everyone it was a start to every program trying to do this.

Sure enough I was correct and were seeing this more and more. So basically what I would do being an affiliate is to try and cut your losses early - we all know many programs are watching like vultures and are licking their lips to see how well things turn out - and want to follow the leaders.

Bwin was the start - a few other flunkies followed and now LadBrookes is just another copycat BELOSER.

I say when your in doubt form any program to do these sorts of things - make sure when you negotiate start working with them you consider getting an additional fee as insurance.

Note: If anyone wants me to add them to Belosers.com ( that gets good traffic and as already stopped many affiliates from signing up) please let me know..

I would need someone to write an article for me on all the changes and the predatory terms.
