Alright then its not bad at all i think. It just gives them a chance to stop working with affiliates who cant perform at all. Its unessesery i agree but still not bad like for ex affiliate lounge who seems to close accounts where you can have a lot of players if you dont send new ones.

These sort of terms are just put there to allow the casinos to protect themselves from fraud and abuse - without telling the fraudsters and abusers EXACTLY what will trigger their action...
My gut feel is that Casumo are A-OK if you're a genuine honest webmaster ;)

What exactly has changed in the new updated terms? Is there any representative in here?

They've send a mail with some explanation. Nothing interesting if I may believe them. I haven't accepted it yet, but the annoying thing is that you're kind of forced to accept it to be able to use the affiliate system. I first let it check by a lawyer and eventually I ask them to agree about additional things.

Basically, by accepting this new terms, I accept that I am in the standard commission again. They'll leave me at the customised deal of course, but just to mention you have to be careful with just accepting things. Especially seeing the things happening on some markets. I mean, if they leave for example Australia, it's not my fault I am not generating anything if I focus mainly on that market...

Hi Guys,

It has been a very long time since we updated our T&C's, we have decided to update them to keep up with the ever-changing landscape in the Industry.

99.9% of affiliates have nothing to fear with these changes, there is nothing radical or unethical. We just want to ensure all of our terms are clear and affiliates are promoting Casumo in the correct way that is compliant with all rules and regulations.

We understand accepting changes is sometimes daunting so if you have any questions at all please get in touch with your affiliate manager. If you do not know who your affiliate manager is please email affiliates@casumo. com.

Best Regards
Casumo Affiliate Team.

Just because of curiousity, what kind of affiliate are the 0,1% that have to fear something with these changes?

The terms were not updated to catch anyone out, they were updated to ensure affiliates are following all advertising guidelines. Our aim was to make advertising guidelines clear to all affiliates.

Those who may be affected are:
Affiliates operating using shady practices (false claims, lack of information, promoting gambling as a way to clear debts etc.)
Affiliates bidding on Casumo Key Words
Affiliates using the Casumo trademark in their URL, or social pages/accounts.

As stated above the vast majority of our affiliates operate in a compliant way and have nothing to fear. The affiliates we feel this may affect have been contacted and given time to change their marketing strategies to fall in line with rules and regulations.

I understand the need for updating t&c's for dodgy affiliates, but the term that was referenced "minimum level of activity" you have ignored to clarify about. If I brought in a 100 players and then had a very slow 3-6 month period where no new accounts were opened. Would you terminate my account or reduce my commissions? Even though I have followed your advertising guidelines.

I only have a prt screen of the terms on my iPad but try to quote one term.

6.1 (a) to use its best efforts to actively and effectively advertise, market and promote the Casumo website as widely as possible in order to maximize the Partie´s benefits and that it will abide By the advertising guidlines of the Company as may be communicated to the Affiliate from time to time and/or made accessible online;

In my head it sounds like they just cud send me an email: Yo, put us on your toplist, here is the content you must use or els...

If this is the spirit of your term, then it would make sense to make this the substance of your term. It does not make sense to have the minimum activity clause, as the minimum activity clause is not the same as what you've described.

@Shay has a valid point!
- However, I trust in Casumo. Their brand convert very well plus give back good earnings for me at least!

I am currently reviewing them, considering increasing the very minimal (next to nothing ) exposure they have on my sites.
And all I can say is that if my account is still active now after years of minimal activity, this doesn't worry me too much.

Having said that, maybe it just gives a bad feeling and overall makes you wonder what else they could change in the future. But that goes for every operator.
