*** Do NOT Promote Casumo Affiliates ***

Casumo Affiliates can terminate your affiliate contract and steal your earnings if you do not send them enough traffic. Their minimum activity clause below is very open-ended and allows them to, quite easily, steal your commissions:

     Dated:2016-02-16 00:00:00 - Minimum Activity Rule
7.9 The Company reserves the right to set limits for a minimum level of activity on Affiliate's accounts. Such minimum activity levels will be continuously reviewed and the Company reserves the right to terminate any agreement not reaching the limit. Such limit shall not be unreasonably high and basically reflect the intention of avoiding accounts where the revenue does not cover the Company's internal costs for maintaining the account and the payout procedure.

That term doesn't sound too unreasonable to me.
They just don't want to waste time and money on affs who aren't performing.
Same for us affiliates - if a casino isn't performing, we can just dump THEM!

For people who have already signed up with them - it is very unreasonable if the clause was inserted to the previously existing agreement.

For the new affiliate who has not signed up with them - it is vague.

Either way, not something that should be in an affiliate agreement.

    Sounds familiar?

We all know how that went..

What money and time would that be? We're a column in their database and they don't need to keep up with anything manually.
Once the threshold (€100) is met an invoice/withdrawal request is created which they then have to approve.
The standard deal is 25% so whenever that invoice is created they've made well above €100 from their affiliate.

I have heard this several times from many different programs.. I agree we are nothing more then a few lines of code in a database.. I don't understand that argument at all, as its just another non-transparent type of "talk off". In other words just an excuse to steal a few players from an affiliate that doesn't look like they will be contributing many more.

Do they also delete player accounts if they are not depositing often enough? No.. But they basically store the same amount of information.

From my experience, Casumo are very good and the affiliate manager there is top class. i suspect more and more operators will introduce onerous T&Cs as boiler plate.

even if they lower net rev share to 5%, believe me, you will still earn more with them then with most other aff programs (especially gowild + videoslots)

I'm afraid 5% revenue share will do you no good if your account is terminated.

What does a "minimum level of activity" actually mean? Does it refer to number of visitors, or number signups? If it refers to the number of signups, isn't that the sponsor's job to convert visitors?

Predatory programs like to blame affiliates for not sending enough players regardless of their efforts to convert the players we sent. Typically it means number of signups, but when they say 'activity' it sometimes means clicks/impressions.

We have no problems with Casumo, the player retention is good and they convert well. Martin is a top bloke, i'm sure he'll clarify things.

It's now Nov 2016, and AGD marked them predatory in April 2016 (7 months ago).
No word from this top-bloke you speak of...just sayin :)

What affiliates get upset about, is when programs promise life-time-revenue, but then renege on that promise.

I don't think in a court case this vague terms make any sense, while lifetime is quite concrete.

Im chocked about this, i have worked with Casumo for a while and never had a problem. Of course i do send trafic so maybe the reason. I also agre with onlinea sometimes it doesn matter what the admin fees are couse if the brandis better it will still make more money for you. Sometimes big admin fee can mean the brand is actually worth it becouse they spend it on good people and things that makes the profits higher for both the affiliate and the brand. Casumo is one of them in my opinion. At same time it would really suck to have spent a couple of years struggeling as an affiliate, then sent good trafic for a while and made good money and then just loose it all=( Its not right at all becouse its life time revenue so i really hope Casumo is not doing this=(

It seems it is 'just' about where no players are delivered and no revenue is generated. Or better said: almost no revenue is generated. Although it's not a nice term, it doesn't sound like an activity quota that is trashing revenue just because not enough ftd's are delivered.

Yes, like I understand it, you'll be safe.

    But, it's a vague term.
