I don’t post often on this site – I’m more of a weekly lurker – but when I came across this thread, I felt obligated to defend Referback a little bit.
I’ve been promoting RB casinos for years with no serious problems and always fair treatment, prompt payment, etc. Somehow, we heard about these changes referred to in this thread before they went into effect and I can’t believe we got special treatment or were paying attention to industry news more than everybody else on this site.
Additionally, I’m a little surprised that some are complaining about “unfair terms.” If one can’t land three new players in three months at a Microgaming casino, why are you attempting to promote them at all?
Just my two cents.

Partly right,

Microgaming casinos are a pretty easy sell.

My point would be why send this program any new players when so many good programs are out there?

Dear Affiliates,

Thank you very much for your feedback and comments, it is truly appreciated. Referback has a long and successful history and we certainly never intended to be seen as a rogue program.

After giving your input serious consideration we have decided that clause 6.5 in our terms and conditions will not apply to affiliates who signed up prior to the 1st of November 2012.

The clause will stand for any affiliates who signed up, for the first time, at Referback.com from the 1st of November 2012.

To prove our commitment to a fair and speedy resolution to this situation any outstanding affiliate commissions (due to clause 6.5) will be processed with the affiliate payments for October.

We thank you all very much for all your feedback, and look forward to working with you for many years to come.

Best wishes,
The Referback Team

Will the change be noted and updated in the back system? Thanks for the response ..

The change will be added to our T&Cs - this will be updated on the site shortly. We do also have processes in place in the backend to make sure that affiliates who signed up prior to November 2012 will not be affected by the clause.

He makes a fair point. Though, on the flip side these T&C changes should not have been retroactive. One more observation...Brightshare have implemented a player quota and reduction in promised commission %, if the quota is not met. However I don't see them rogued!... just saying :)

Hi Bet4You,

We agree that it should not have been retroactive, which is why we are only applying the clause to affiliates who signed up on or after November 2012, which is when the clause was added to the T&Cs.

Thanks :)

Brightshare is in the 'low revshare' forum. They didn't implement a retroactive change. What they did do is implement a lower revshare moving forward for inactivity. While I hate inactivity clauses, they have their lowest revshare percentage listed on their commissions page (BrightShare Casino Affiliat Programs | BrightShare | Casino Affiliate Program). Our requirement is that they do not list themselves as 35% - 50% and then have a 15% reduction level. They must clearly show the 15% on their site.

On the subject of Brightshare vs Referback...

I don't understand how BS's term change wasn't retroactive? It affects all affiliates regardless of when they signed up, it just didn't apply to players sent before the change.

Referback's changes DO NOT affect affiliates that signed up prior to the change, so nothing about it is retroactive.

Also, in my opinion, holding payments until a new player is sent, and then back-paying at the proper %, is better than reducing commissions and continuing to pay.
