In late May, I was contacted by an affiliate manager from Alpha Affiliates. She introduced herself with:
“Hi, how are you? It's ***** from Alpha Affiliates, we met at Sigma,”
and then proceeded to ask if I have email traffic. She was actively pushing for a deal and seemed eager to get started. We agreed on a CPA of €170 per FTD, specifically for email traffic.

On May 28, we finalized the deal. I delivered 3 FTDs shortly after, expecting payment as agreed so I could scale further. But that’s where the problems began.

Since then, I’ve been getting nothing but different excuses — every time I ask about the payment, I’m told something new:
  • First, it was “end of June,”
  • Then it was “after iGB,”
  • Then “first week of July,”
  • Then “confirmed – you’ll get it shortly,”
  • Most recently, I was told “30th or 31st of July.”

It’s now 31st of July, and still nothing.

Despite constantly replying, the manager keeps changing the story. She was very eager and persistent when asking for traffic and FTDs, but once the results came in, the promised payment never followed.

At this point, I don’t expect to get paid — I just want to warn other affiliates to be cautious before sending any traffic to Alpha Affiliates.

I have full screenshots of all communication as proof.

Hello @Mr.Anonymo,
Given the rising intricacies of custom CPA deals, with fraud risks and complicated performance metrics, it has become significantly harder for us to intervene in disputes and hold parties accountable. We recommend starting with modest initial prepayment agreements to build trust and strengthen your relationship with the program. Additionally, ensuring transparency with your traffic will help lay the foundation for a more reliable partnership.

What I will do for sure is to reach out to the representatives and inform the about your complaint.

Thanks for your message — I completely understand the challenges around custom CPA deals these days.

But in this case, the situation is very clear: their affiliate manager reached out to me directly and offered the deal. I didn’t chase them — they asked specifically for email traffic and FTDs, and proposed the €170 CPA themselves.

What bothers me most is not just the non-payment, but the ongoing lies I’ve been getting ever since. If there were issues with traffic quality or if they had second thoughts, they could have said so from the beginning. Instead, I kept getting empty promises: “end of June,” then “after iGB,” then “first week of July,” then “by the 30th.” Every time I followed up, the story changed.

To make things even more frustrating, they made me go through a full payment verification process, which gave me the impression that everything was legitimate and ready. Why go through all that if there was never an intention to pay?

My test cap was 20 FTDs, but since we finalized the deal at the end of May, I only delivered 3 — so the risk on my side was low. Still, it’s a matter of basic trust. They initiated the deal, asked for traffic, confirmed the CPA, verified my payment method — and now they’re ghosting me.

I really appreciate you stepping in. Affiliates should be able to rely on the word of the programs they work with, especially when everything seems official from the start.

Best regards.

However, I’m a strong believer in karma — especially in this industry, where people and roles constantly shift. Today they might ignore you, but tomorrow they might come knocking again.

One way or another, I truly believe that what’s mine will eventually find its way to me. If not through this deal, then through future opportunities. They will need traffic again — whether it’s under a new affiliate manager, this affiliate manager working for another company, a rebranded company, or even a completely new venture. And when that time comes, I’ll remember how this was handled.
