Hello AGD community,
I have finally decided to bring this situation to the public, something I had kept to myself until now. Not because I lacked information, but because I genuinely believed for a long time in the payment issues that 888starz claimed to be experiencing. Since I always had a good level of trust in the brand and its representatives, I never felt the need to expose this situation, even while noticing more and more affiliates here on the forum reporting difficulties and negative experiences.
However, after two months of guarantees, delays and contradictions, it became impossible to continue giving the benefit of the doubt. Therefore, I will clearly explain everything that has happened.
I closed an agreement for the influencer which included five streams valued at 900 dollars each, with specific FTD KPI targets and the guarantee that any kind of fraud would be checked on a stream-by-stream basis. Throughout the entire campaign, the traffic was confirmed as legitimate by 888starz’s own team.
Due to internal payment issues on the company’s side, I advanced the payments to the influencer out of my own pocket, based on a direct guarantee that I would be reimbursed later. I did this to avoid compromising the performance of the project.
At this moment, there is a payment of 1800 dollars pending for more than two months. During this period, I received multiple confirmations that the payment was being processed. All conversations are documented.
After all this time, the company suddenly claimed that the traffic is fraudulent. However, at the time, it was classified as legitimate by their own team. The explanation now given is that the staff member who verified the traffic was inexperienced and that a new employee has reclassified the traffic as fraud. I want to emphasize that internal errors, management issues or staff mistakes cannot be pushed onto the affiliate under any circumstances.
In addition, 888starz’s terms and conditions do not mention any right to reevaluate traffic after two months, much less after authorizing additional streams and after I personally paid the influencer based on trust in the company’s commitment.
At this point, the issue is no longer about the traffic itself. The real problem is the inconsistency, lack of transparency and the breakdown of trust.
I am sharing this here on AGD so that affiliates and influencers can be informed. I have all the necessary evidence and documentation to support each point mentioned.
It is unfortunate to reach this point, especially coming from a company that is actively present in this forum.
If anyone has experienced something similar, feel free to reach out. The more information the community has, the better protected we all are.
