Hi John,
I signed up with your program today and I have a question about how you figure commissions. I think I am getting a little old and thick, cuz I don't understand a word of this.

•Commission Rate: This value is multiplied by the ANW Winnings to get your commission.
•Tier 2 Commission Rate: When ANW Winnings for a month exceeds the Tier 2 Commission Revenue Threshold, the Tier 2 Commission Rate is used to calculate commission for the Winnings above the Tier 2 threshold.
•Tier 3 Commission Rate: When ANW Winnings for a month exceeds the Tier 3 Commission Revenue Threshold, the Tier 2 Commission Rate is used to calculate commission for the Winnings above the Tier 2 threshold.
•Affiliate Recruiting Commission Rate: When you attract other affiliates to the program, you will earn an extra commission at this rate on all of your sub-affiliates' commissions.

Now I am assuming that "ANW" is "Deposits minus cashouts minus charge backs". I am assuming this from my association with other Rival's, because you do not define "ANW" on your commissions page nor does the software show the ANW amount, or at least i could not find it.

But even with knowing what ANW means, I am still not understanding how you are figuring the commissions.

Can you please help me out?

Hi,

First I'd like to introduce myself as an affiliate manager at Rockbet. Whatever you need, you can contact me at all times. It's just more efficient to email me directly than post at forums, because I check my email more often.

About your question. You were right, ANW is deposits - cashouts - chargebacks. Your revenue share percentage is based on the tiers, which means that if you generate more, you can get a higher percentage.

I will also be updating some of our site content, to provide more info for our affiliates.

Cheers,

Katarina

It is a requirement of your certification to respond here, BTW. There should be no delay in receiving a notification of this post... It is automatic.

Hi Katarina,

I think this is something that the community will benefit from, I can't be the only one that just flat does not understand your payment structure, so how about we do this in the forum?

I still don't have a clue about how you figure commissions.

From what you said, I assume you will be adding the ANW figures to the affiliate page. Is this correct? Without the ANW their is no way to calculate the commission.

Your revenue share percentage is based on the tiers, which means that if you generate more, you can get a higher percentage.

I understand that.

What I don't understand is this...
Commission Rate: This value is multiplied by the ANW Winnings to get your commission.
What 'rate' are you talking about and what is the multiplier?

Any help in understanding this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I guess it is :

Wager Profit : Wagering winnings this month, net of promotions, bonuses and charge backs.

Net Wagering Profit = Wager Profit -/- (net of promotions, bonuses and charge backs).

Deposits / cashouts is not a profit calc factor.

Hi,

Here are the commission rates that you can find on our site, which is updated.

# Tier 1: 25% commission $0 to $14,999
# Tier 2: 30% commission $15,000 to $29,999
# Tier 3: 35% commission $30,000+

The base commission rate is 25% and it can go up to 35% if you bring more players. You calculate the commission in the following way: deposits - cashouts - chargebacks multiplied by your revenue share commission rate = your commission payout. Bonuses are not deducted at any point.

Hope this helps.

In all due respect Katarina, your "Tiered Commission" structure is total BS! Most of the better Rival programs do not implement the tiered structure and pay one flat rate that is much much better than the one you are offering. This tiered structure must be the one that Rival includes with their backend program as I see it at new Rivals but not the more established ones.

This would be a good time for you to make some positive changes there since you are running the program now that John has stepped down.

Hi everyone,

First of all, I appreciate your attention and feedback. Secondly, I'd like to remind you that the tiered system is common amongst many online casino programs, including some of the top performing ones. When it comes to Rockbet, we are reinvesting more money into acquiring and retaining players. It isn't always about the commission rate and having a higher rate doesn't make the program any better. We are working on a new VIP program for giving more back to the players to keep them happy, which will result in players playing more, and therefore keeping affiliates happy.

Katrina,

Thanks for explaining the commissions.

Rob is right, the 25% is a little low for most experienced affiliates, especially for a Rival powered casino.

I been out of the loop for the last few weeks... What happen to John?

To be honest, John was the only reason I signed up with rockbet. I told him I would sign up a while ago, but I didn't get around to it till now, like I said I been out of the loop.

I took over the affiliate manager's duties in Rockbet, since John stepped down a few weeks ago to pursue his own affiliate sites. So, whatever you need, I'll be there to help. :)

As for the commission structure, I have to say, it's still between 25% and 35%, and many of the top performing programs like RTG, Microgaming, and Vegas Technology use the same system, including some of the most respected programs like CasinoCoins, FortuneAffiliates and C-Planet. True, some Rivals like 400affiliates offer 35%, but that still does not imply that your earnings are going to be higher. It's important to keep player values high, because otherwise, high revenue share just won't be enough in the long run. Rockbet is now working on providing improved service to our players with a new VIP team, and a program that should be launched in spring. The VIP team is already in place, and we are also setting up a VIP points store.

All in all, not all casinos work in the same way, and it's always best to try them out and see which works best for you, and that doesn't necessarily depend on the highest rates. If you'd like to get a short-term deal to test the program, send me an email, and I'll get back to you.

Cheers,

Katarina
