This makes no sense if you don't carry over negative amounts. Why would anyone want to fence a player as the "hole" will be gone at month's end?

The way you are talking here it sounds like you do have negative carryover. If so the AGD info up top right is wrong. Maybe you could clarify?

Agreed re the name KK - it is terrible - although I'm glad I wasn't the first to say it. I'm intrigued as to why they didn't go for 777 instead of just 77.

Ring fencing can be great for affiliates if it's done correctly. Lets say you pick up 2 big players one month - one loses £10,000 and one wins £10,000. Without ring fencing your revenue is 0 (£10,000 - £10,000 = 0 x x% = £0).

If the £10k win had been ring fenced immediately your commissions would look like this:

£10,000 - [£10,000 Ring fenced] = £10,000 x 25% = £2,500

You then don't earn from that player until they make up the loss. If they never do then you're off the hook for the player.

Having said this, if the player isn't immediately ring fenced then it's actually worse for affs - there was a thread about this a while ago.

Yes I understand when it can be beneficial. Just the way it was described here suggested that there was negative carryover happening.

I actually don't mind an immediate ring-fencing policy. It is fair for everyone. The old Star Partner one where they waited until month end to ring fence after your commissions from all your other players were lost was terrible.
