Got an e-mail March 2nd (which I didn't spot until March 12th):

"Dear Mark,

As you’d expect, at Genting Casinos UK Ltd we are fully committed to working with our affiliates in a compliant and socially responsible manner.

We have recently made some changes to our Terms and Conditions in line with that continuing commitment and in light of various recent guidelines and guidance issued to our industry relevant to Affiliates. Those revised Terms take effect today and will apply to all our Affiliates.

Our new terms are best read in full but key points of them include:-

• From the 1st March 2018 and in line with industry standard practice we will exercise negative revenue share carryover. However, no changes have been made to our standard revenue share percentages.

Your continued participation in our Affiliate Programme shall constitute your acceptance of our revised Affiliate Terms and Conditions."

Took them a WEEK to reply to my e-mail asking to confirm if this RETROACTIVE PREDATORY change would apply to existing affiliates who had been faithfully promoting them since 2011... and the answer was YES.

So for anyone else who didn't spot the e-mail - it's a big FU from Genting!

Agree, good catch KK

I can understand a program changing it's T&C's for all future partner signups, but... making "new terms" retroactive - there's no excuse for that. Programs such as Deckmedia, Superior, Full Cream and others seem to be able to keep their heads above water, without stooping to playing dirty pool per se.

An agreement is an agreement. As such, if an agreement was made in 2011 which didn't have NCO, then that's how it should say. No if's or buts.

Btw they also stopped paying on poker revenue but kept the poker room active. Looks like they've removed poker entirely now but there was long period where they just didn't pay on the rev.

Got email tonight. Not sure if I'm right, they run a new NCO policy since last week and cut the revenue share after 12 months now?

In order to comply with recent UKGC guidelines we have taken the difficult decision to discontinue our existing arrangement with you, effective immediately. Whilst we appreciate the disappointment our decision will cause you, we value our reputation as a responsible and fair operator and can confirm that the following will apply upon termination (depending on the type of deal you are on):-

1. Standard Deal - We will honour referral commission on any players referred to us up to today (only) for a period of twelve months following termination of our arrangement (taken from today).
   
2. CPA only Deal - We will honour CPA payments on any players referred to us up to today (only) subject to any agreed numbers cap we have in place.
   
3. Bespoke Deal - We will honour any bespoke deal concluded by way of Genting Term Sheet and (now revised) Affiliate Terms on players referred to us up to today (only) for a period of twelve months following termination of our arrangement (taken from today).

Please note that no commission will be paid, accrued, or otherwise become due to you for any players referred after today. As such we would encourage you to immediately disable all links and to remove all Genting banners from your sites as a matter of urgency.

It's no big loss to me either - but it's the PRINCIPLE of what they are doing that we need to stand together and fight.
It's almost the same situation as the Affiliate Edge (Club World) fiasco.

This is EXACTLY why we have been talking about an "Affiliate Union" to try to reduce this sort of unethical behaviour.
