    Hey there,
I've run contests in the past and see that programs still do from time to time. When I did, I normally made it a competition against individual past numbers and earnings, instead of against other affiliates.
    But I need to ask:
    1. Do contests make you promote a brand more?
    2. If you are a smaller to medium sized affiliate, do you feel like it's not worth it with larger affiliates in the mix?
    3. If they motivate you, what kinds of contests work best for you?
Affiliate managers from other programs are welcome to respond, but don't give away any secrets unless you want to.
Thanks and I hope to see some feedback.

I think the best ones are related to past earnings. (less interested in various draws, lotteries or overall competitions).

If a company I work with offers a month of +$50 CPA on top promo or something of that type, I will usually make an effort to push it more.

Your top earning affiliates or the biggest affiliates in the business won't promote you any harder and if it is based on performance, some of those affiliates will have won without making any effort. Smaller affiliates might not react thinking they don't have a chance.

Make it random or give some cpa incentive for every depositing player referred.

Thanks for the info. Pretty much aligns with our thinking so far.
