I've decided to leave this forum. I don't want to associate myself with these Russian clowns defending Russian war crimes with their ridiculous whataboutism and excuses. Playing the victim role like a bunch of clowns.

I have better things to do and people to surround myself with.

In a sense, see this as another boycott.

this is surely an emotional thread and it was clear that this discussion will gets different opinions.

Believe me, no one from us want this war but we must also accept other points of view, whether we like it or not.

This thread should not lead to the fact that we are at each other's throats here.

I've seen it many times that members have withdrawn from forums because they felt offended by statements made by others or because they couldn't bear it anymore.

Many of us feel the same and understand. We are confronted with it every day.

This platform does not only consist of this thread, it gives so many more where we could exchange our experiences.

Just stop posting in this thread, stay here how gm2891 mentioned and focus on other things, even if it's difficult at the moment.

Sometimes you just have to stand over the things.

I've previously mentioned that for political, racial, or religious debates this is not the best place. Because misunderstandings, disagreements, and opposing points of view can easily alter one forum member's thinking toward others.

For better or worse, your views do reveal the type of person you are.

Hi guys,

we understand the sensitivity of this topic and our hearts and thoughts go out to all people of Ukraine that are suffering and getting killed in these tough times. Our network has Ukrainian staff that was forced to flee the country because of war...

I do feel I have a bit of perspective when it comes to the matter at hand, coming from a country that was broken apart in a bloody civil war. Coming from a country that suffered UN/US sanctions i can say with full confidence that any embargo does nothing to hurt the governing party responsible for war crimes.
It just makes them richer and stronger in power, whilst the "common" ppl suffer and get poorer and poorer.

This is why my personal opinion is that this move by the said aff programme is wrong. IMHO Russian affiliates are not and cant possibly be responsible for the actions of Russian Gov. I also understand that some of you won't and don't agree with what i said, and that is absolutely your prerogative. But i felt I should share bit of my own personal experience.

Unfortunately this became very heated discussion and it our stance that it is leading to nowhere, and will only bring more division to our community that was meant to be from the affiliates for the affiliates.

This is why Im closing this topic and any further political discussion re this matter will be sanctioned the same way as it is clear that emotions are high and cant be controlled.
