Final post, promise (wanted to avoid a convoluted post) :)

Check the UK Site from VeraJohn
https://www.verajohn.co.uk/

Strangely, and according to the Vera & John UK site's T&C's, the laws which govern those rules etc., are in Malta. I would think, a UKGC licensed, .uk site, would default to UK law, not Maltese.

I am a bit confused, do these rules apply to all affiliate sites in english, or do they only apply to pages actively targeting UK traffic?

Let's say that you have a site in english, but UK or England isn't mentioned with a single word, do you still have to be compliant?
I want to know the same, i also have english but not actively target UK traffic

I would imagine that if you're promoting a brand with a UK license then UK license rules need to be followed, even if you're not yourself promoting to the UK.

That's the jist we've been getting from the AM's anyway.

We're mainly UK facing so we knew this was coming. I do feel for you guys not targeting the UK who are getting caught up in it though, I'd be pretty peeved if I had to spend countless hours making compliance changes for Germany just because a brand I promoted to the UK had a license there.

I hear diffrent answers here and there......
One answer was, "If you do not target UK this will not be an issue - this is ONLY valid for UK targeting traffic and sites."

Another question..........

What about redirecting UK traffic to an UK online casino (with aff tags of course)
Would that be allowed?

It does, but it also says in capitals THIS APPLIES TO YOU and "every affiliate without discrimination". To me it's confusing. Also, they ask to confirm receipt of this email and a list of all UK sources...

It goes very far. Those Casumo puppets are appealing to minors. What's next? Playtech slots like Superman, Batman, the Green Lantern? Or Netent slots like Jack & the Beanstalk and Fairytale Legends? Also, I wonder what is exactly an editorial. For our international site we've chosen before to mention 18+, t&c applicable and be very clear about bonus offers, but without editorials, etc it seems we can just do PPC or something.

They have like 7 affiliate managers, but you never ever hear from them. Just the mailers indeed or when it's about compliance. I guess we just need to pull them off. I have no good feeling about this at all.
My Casumo affiliate manager is quite responsive ? Who are dealing with there ?

There definitely needs to be more clarity with these new UKGC regulations. It would be less of a problem if they would only target UK focused web sites, because so many of these brands are available to players in other countries.

I've received e-mails that basically say that it covers any site with UK-licensed brands, and then other e-mails that sound as if these requirements are only for web sites that actively target UK citizens directly.

The UK-licensed casinos risk a loss of affiliates that aren't targeting UK players, but are required to be in compliance with these regulations. Affiliates will just replace the UK licensed brands with those that are less of a hassle.
