I use the logo all the time on any site I'm on when I can't seem to get back to where I want.
Your logo should be linked to your home page.

I consider the forums the main area of the site, which is why I linked the logo to the forums homepage :)

fyi the "Seo Keywords (site name)" must be unique from anyone elses. If someone else used the keyword 'casino reviews' you can not, or it gives a message saying that the keyword has already been taken.

Will have to look into this on Monday

Lmao Joe

Would it be at viable to have the one or 2 that is at least worth a shit  as your main one/s and then make a sidebar with links to you other sites? or is this not a good idea?

This should now be changed. The only caveat is that if you have 2 websites using the same keyword - they will have a number on the end. Example: "new online slots'

The URL for the first one would be /username/new-online-slots/

The URL for the second one would be /username/new-online-slots-1/

If you haven't gotten your websites listed, get them in there! It is a great link into your website and well worth the time spent customizing it. Remember - you can add RSS Feeds to automate the content :) You can add LinkRolls to place deep-links to your site. You can add custom HTML content to make your 'Website Profile Page' represent your website perfectly.

It really is to your benefit to take advantage of this feature! :)

There are quite a few member websites in the system now, but quite a few more that SHOULD be there :) Again - make sure you take advantage of this feature... for those who keep looking for 'links', this is about the highest quality link you are going to get. Not taking advantage of it is kinda stupid (sorry for saying!) :)

Those of you who DO have your sites setup, set up your Website Profile Page! That is the real SEO benefit here. You can add: LinkRolls (deep links into your website), RSS Feeds (powerful for Wordpress and vBulletin sites, among others), and custom content (HTML).

Get in there people!!

Using just a url in the website profile will do just that, add a url. But since you have side bars and main content boxes to add links (rss or Url etc), its better to use raw html impo and make it look a little "fancier" as AGD has done with bonus farm and I tried to do on mine.
Well I finally got around to trying it.
Put a load of stuff in HTML code (i.e. same as when making a post in the forum) - and when I saved it - it just displayed all the code in full!

NOT urgent, but at some point can someone explain - as if they are talking to the thickest person on the planet - EXACTLY how you enter the coding so that the end result looks like a forum post or a website would?

Thanks!

Well, not surprisingly this feature is beyond my tiny brain's capabilities!
I can't even get my logo to upload - it just says "invalid format"...?

Any chance of a complete HTML thickie's guide on how to do it?

KK

send me your HTML and I'll take a look at it. I know it doesn't need tags such as: body, head, meta

Andy, I'd like my profile spiffing up for SEO but I just don't have the time/energy to do it right now. Fancy offering a paid service to funk up these profiles on behalf of members? $50? I'll be your first customer.

Might be tough to do that for $50 :) I would have to hire out to do it anyway. The only problem I would forsee (outside of the cost possibly being lower than I could contract it out for) is the issue of posting. If a user doesn't have x number of posts in a month, their SEO-upgraded listing is demoted to a very NON-SEO Friendly version. Meaning - their profile page(s) are not viewable. So - they pay $50, I have the HTML outsourced, then they do not post, they lose the listing (essentially).

Of course, not my fault.. but still :) I try to be as open as possible about these things.

Thanks for the considered reply - I was semi-serious but I both think there's potential here, if the basics work. What about a paid option, where no minimum post requirement (or a relaxed requirement) is in force? With possibly a different price tag? If any decent link brokers frequent here, they should know what's required.

It's possible to have something like that.. I really wanted the system to be beneficial to active members, though. That way folks that come here and participate have a real benefit for doing so. I'm trying to create services that are a big benefit to the userbase here.

I may give it some more thought. I would certainly help any active member set this up, though.. that would make the most sense to me.

Totally, and what I'm asking for is directly against the idea of what the 'member websites' is about. I just realised that :)
