Hi all, I sent an email out about this last week and want to ensure I spread the word as much as possible over the next couple of months.

I informed you about the upcoming link change which is mandatory if you still want your traffic to be tracked going forward. The change is purely precautionary but one that will at least future proof you and us.

Please take a minute to read up on the changes, what they are all about and what you need to do about it on our news pages at Affiliate Edge...

Affiliate Edge - Future Proof Your AffiliateEdge Account With .eu

If I can be of any help I am here for you and thanks in advance for your cooperation and continued support.

You can do that but you need to be sure that you are using the right links. What has come from this is that some affiliates are using very old links from a previous change, altering those would result in loss of tracking.

To ensure all links are correct, I always recommend taking the links from the system.

Cheers

the same day "after" i received your email newsletter notify we have to change affiliate links.

on that day, the link was

http: // tracking.affiliateedge.eu/default.aspx?casinoID=321&AffUserID=XXXX&assetID=61&campaignID=0&redirect=http://www.aladdinsgoldcasino.com

Just Now, the link is

http: // tracking.affiliateedge.eu/default.aspx?casinoID=321&AffUserID=XXXX&assetID=61

both links are landing on dot com, not dot ag

I never got the email to change links, luckily i'm a member of all the best forums :) Its always a bit of a pain to change links, but this is a great move, and well worth the effort. I love the idea of a brand being more secure and future proofed :) Hope the other casinos will follow this smart example.

Hi Vrindavan, the links you post are two totally different links. The first one seems to be a mix of the old style links and the new. The redirect extention haven't been in use for well over 12 months so the system would not have shown that link this month.

What I suggest though is to update all links by logging in to your admin and grabbing new links for the banner or text link you require, this way you are safe in the knowledge that you are using the right links.

The change of the links actually took place on the 16th of August, so I gave a day befoe I sent out the mail.

Regards to the .com's, we are running the .eu along side the .com's so both work until the .com are retired. From October 1st onwards the change will occur.

Micael, what's you email address please I'll check if you were on the list, you should have been. Maybe it went to spam? :(

Martyn,

does the redirect extention apply to banners because this is what I get for code? I get the redirect only when choosing the casino home page as the target. Don't select a target and it doesn't add the redirect.

HTML:
<a href="http://tracking.affiliateedge.eu/default.aspx?casinoID=321&AffUserID=2791&assetID=52&campaignID=10083&redirect=http://www.aladdinsgoldcasino.com">

<img src="http://banners.clubworldgroup.eu/?src=/AE/agc_120x60_mainoffer_0.gif" style="border:0px;"/></a>

Hi Vrindavan, the links you post are correct as they use the redirect when selecting a 'target' from the admin.

Ahh OK so when you select the target, thats when that redirect comes into play, my bad, forgot about that. On the standard link, without selecting the target you don't see that.

So yes, that is correct.

>> when you select the target,

so i am wrong too, today i forgot to set target,
so the redirect was not added at the end of the affiliate code.

can we get the banner code without select a target?
it is pointing to the home page too, right ?

and when will you update the "redirect part" to the new casino URLs?

Sorry for the late reply, been on a family holiday.

You don't have to select the target, it will default to the casino homepage.

The link change should be completed by the end of this month, however the full change won't go into effect from our side until October 1st 2011.
