Hi all,

I’ve got a payment issue with William Hill Affiliates / Evoke.

In my account, on the Generate Payment Invoices page, there’s a payment for William Hill UK, since 8/1/2025.

The system shows an invoice in the Historic Invoice List for GBP 8,281.35 and the same period/amount is still listed in the Current Invoice List as about EUR 9,571 (see screenshot).

So the invoice exists in their system, but the money has never been sent.

For the last two months I’ve asked for this payment several times through the platform and also emailed both affiliate support and my affiliate manager. No answer at all and the payment is still stuck there.

Is anyone else having invoices sitting like this without being paid? What other methods are you guys pursuing?

And if someone from William Hill / Evoke is reading, please check this case and process the payment that’s showing in my account.

Thanks

Update (27 Jan 2026): WH has terminated our affiliate account (bettinginstitute) with immediate effect and stated no further payments will be made. We’re removing all WH links/creative as requested.

The issue remains that the portal shows payable invoice periods and an outstanding balance (currently ~€10,369 for 12/1/2025 under “Generate Payment Invoices”), while invoice/payout records have intermittently disappeared from the dashboard after submission.

Additional context: our last new content on BettingInstitute.co.uk was published ~2 years ago, yet the site has continued to send ongoing traffic and a steady flow of clicks to WH from evergreen pages. We operate as an SEO agency (no PPC, no brand bidding, no incentivised traffic, no “grey” acquisition practices) — traffic is organic and content-led.

I’ve requested a full ledger and an explanation from Finance/Compliance. Will post factual updates as received.

They have also closed my account too. The William Hill affiliate-support e-mail also now fails with the following message:

The following message to <williamhill3@mailpc.custhelp.com> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'#5.1.0 Address rejected.'

3 of my e-mail addresses bounced in this way. I tried a couple more which they are unlikely to have in their database and these appear to have worked. Of course I don't expect them to reply, but all this looks like they are simply just blocking affiliates from responding. I know this industry is legendary for poor behaviour but this scrapes the barrel if that's what they are doing.

What sort of new monthly FDCs were you doing for them? Mine had mostly dried up but it sounds like you still had some. If that's the case, then my guess is this could be an affiliate-wide culling to save on costs with the impending tax hike on gambling in the UK that's coming.

If you have any further news, I'd love to hear it.

Closed me today too and a good friend.

Haven't promoted them in years as they are utterly despicable, funny thing is i have 2 accounts open, 1 has active players, which they closed, the other is generating 0 commission, still open!

All the email addresses bounce, tried about 5. Shocked they didn't cut me off earlier, though the last few days emails from them made me pretty sure it was in the post.

Always find it so interesting how a huge and reputable organisation goes from a hero to zero. Why is this? Greed, poor management or just mere got too big for their boots and believe they own the world.

In the UK news yesterday it was reported that William Hill would be closing 200 high street branches. This is a cost cutting exercise by Evoke, its owner, in the aftermath of gambling tax hikes that increase gaming duty (casino/slots) from 21% to 40% in April 2026. This is tax on turnover, not profit, and effectively means the gaming companies in the UK will be giving up around 90% of their gaming profits in tax. It was inevitable in the aftermath of this tax change that any UK operators which still haven't culled their affiliate program would likely look to do so. This is almost certainly the explanation for why William Hill have sent out these e-mails yesterday. My guess is that it affects nearly all existing affiliates minus the really big ones who continue to send hundreds of new monthly FDCs.
