Also, some companies have higher minimum payment thresholds for wire than for wallets.
Another thing to consider, is that some programs will only pay you in $US or €uro - so you'll get exchange fees if it's going into a £UK bank.
So I use Neteller for $ and Skrill for € - then if I want to play at casinos who take those currencies I don't get any exchange fees for depositing either!

Also as you are new I am not sure how familiar you are with ewallets but you can get Mastercards for them which you can use online and at ATM's so they really are no less convenient than bank transfer
