I always preferred Neteller (when I could use them). They were king when they allowed US affs with good reason. Easy interface, easy withdrawal, ATM ability, etc...

MB is ok, but I never liked them near as much. Just my opinion.

Totally agree Andy ;D

I've had my NT account since 2000. One of the best features of Neteller is their securit. Have used MB in the past but with multiple hack attempts and the dramas to get the account reactivated, only to have more attmpted hacks...etc..etc, I'll take NT over MB any day.

With MB you use your email address as your user ID. That to me in a major flaw. Where as NT uses a 12 digit code, a 6 digit personal code and a password.

Neteller also keeps track of the IP address/Country used by the account holder. If any access is attempted from another Country, Neteller locks the account down till the owner can verify access.

Moneybookers security of accounts is crap IMHO. Hence the reason it is prone to hacking!

My Moneybookers account WAS hacked in May this year and the bastard who did it took my whole balance of €880 in 14 separate transactions in a 5-hour period overnight.
Fortunately I happened to spot it within a few hours and reported it to MB immediately. I did everything MB asked me to do, but guess what... I am STILL waiting to see any of my money back!!

I have to go with Neteller. I've been using Neteller since 2006 and never had any problems with them.

KK sorry to hear that your Moneybookers account has been hacked. It cheeses me off to hear stories like this especially when MB has been giving you the run around concerning a possible refund.

Good Luck, I hope you receive your money soon.

I prefer Neteller for my personal transactions because I can use a Net+ card and withdraw from ATMs, which I can't do with Moneybookers.

Moneybookers is better for P2P transfers though. It only costs 75c or so whereas Neteller slugs you for a 2% pound of flesh.

I have used both for a long time and never had any problems, open an account with each and use the one with the cheapest fees for each type of transaction.

I've always prefered Neteller. There are FAR too many reports of poor security with Moneybookers kicking around. And that doesn't cover all the instances of them handing over personal information to any casino that claims it's 'investigating fraud'.

Er yes, after having my Moneybookers account locked and inaccessible for over 6 months shortly after I posted above (with no-one from their support ever answering my questions), I would not recommend them to anyone ever.

Since someone bumped this thread; a minor update on my post from last AUGUST above...

I am STILL waiting to see if I will ever get my money back from Skrill - now one year and one month since the theft took place.
I am in a VERY long queue for the Financial Ombudsman to look at my case and make a final verdict.
I have reason to be 95% sure he will find in my favour - but all I can do right now is wait... :(

I should add (from my previous post) my Neteller/Moneybookers usage ratio is roughly 90/10, so my activity favours Neteller.

Neteller offers a better FX fee and VIP program. I also prefer their website interface.

I use Moneybookers without any problem since 2000,i have acces at ATM through MB Mastercard card, and the security is more than ok.A new feature of MB is a special small machine which will provide you unique codes in order to login.I think this is the highest level of security.

I periodically use NT but that payment proseccor can easily lock my account and very difficult to re-open it.

In my opinion for USA people is better to use NT and for the rest MB

+1 for MB
I use it for 5+ years, and can't remember any problems.
Also never had any security issues, and think they're no less secure than any other processors.
I'm quite surprised to see that many people going with Neteller..

We've been using Moneybookers to receive affiliate payments for a number of years now without any problems
whatsoever. Best of all, they are cheaper than Neteller.

being new to all this, do people tend to use moneybookers and neteller as opposed to simple bank transfer?

I you are refering to player deposits: Ewallet payments such as Moneybookers or Neteller are immediately credited into the casinos account, They are the most popular depositing methods for this reason.

If you are referring to player withdrawals: Casinos usually charge a transaction fee for bank wires. However, if you do not require your withdrawal balance to be used again immediately, a wire is still a good option.

If you are referring to affiliate payments: I prefer bank wire because of the lowest transaction costs.

Basically, I use both of these methods as long as I am not the one who needs to cover any transaction fees. :)
