Scale your traffic or not? What to look at before you decide
Strong test numbers make it tempting to ramp up volume right away, but no single metric should drive that decision. A cheap FD, for example, doesn’t mean quality traffic: the first deposit is just one link in a long chain. That chain also includes repeat deposits, turnover, GGR, NGR, and retention.
That’s why the same traffic can be expensive on FD but strong on NGR, or cheap on FD but weak on retention. It can also be profitable during a test and then sag as volume grows. So what do you do? Сheck three layers: the funnel, the player value, the product readiness.
Funnel. There’s no universal Reg-to-Dep benchmark, but if your R2D falls below 10%, it’s worth re-checking your funnel and stats. If impressions are rising while clicks are falling, the creative has burned out. That’s a signal to refresh it.
Player value. Look at repeat deposits, retention, LTV with payback period, ARPPU, and ROI. Compare cohorts: that’s how you see which channel brought in quality players.
Product readiness. Even quality traffic won’t pay off if the product can’t handle the load. Keep an eye on KYC and payment speed (a rising decline rate is a warning sign), technical stability, and retention tools: tournaments, bonuses, statuses, and leaderboards.
Even the right metrics show little without a big enough sample. Wait for at least 15 FDs to see the campaign’s direction. For a confident read on risk and payback, we recommend sending 50 FDs and running them through our predictive model. If all three layers check out, you’re clear to scale.
