I hope everyone is doing ok!!! Haven’t posted for some time and thought that this subject would be a nice one to discuss in the community.

First of all a quote by Oscar Wilde: "We are all in the same gutter but some of us are looking at the stars."
So let’s all of us start looking at the stars.

Enough with philosophy back to our main subject.

We have recently been considering utilising a lot more social networks and social media in general as one of our Marketing mediums, further enhancing our Marketing funnel. We believe that Social Media in general are the new way of advertising and the new way that marketing is becoming more targeted, efficient, and responsive.
• Do you believe there is any benefit in utilizing such Mediums?
• Did you have any experience of employing such networks? If yes did you see any benefits/drawbacks?
• Which social media networks do you use?
• How would you compare the more traditional mediums to this type of marketing?
• Does it enhance user engagement, interaction with the brand, and therefore brand building and recognition?
• Are the results from Social media marketing measurable?

Apparently each of the above questions could be a post itself but let’s all start a constructive discussion in this regards that will benefit any individual of our society here at AGD or anywhere else.

I'm a newbie in this world and I try to learn by reading this forum's posts (and other net-sources) and testing new marketing channels.

As regarding your post (very interesting) I use FB, Twitter and Youtube: after a few months I can say that facebook insertions are very powerful but the result is strictly connected to your initial budget and it depends a lot on the countries you choose where promoting your brands.

I think that if you're sure that almost 50+% of your visitors will click on banner or (better) sign-up, you can decide to spend 100, 200 or 300euros per month for facebook insertions, otherwise this social channel is useless.

As regarding Twitter Accounts and Youtube Channels and Facebook Pages... I think that they work very well if you before are able to "build" thousand of followers.

I don't know if you (members) agree or not, but this is my "feeling" now, based on my "poor" experience.
