Welcome Rome Partners to AGD!

Thank you to Jodi who has worked VERY hard to ensure Rome Partners is certified at AGD. Rome Partners offers (currently) 2 casinos to promote:

Rome Casino - A Topgame Casino, which was opened in 2008.
Diceland Casinos - Another Topgame Casino opened in 2009 and revamped in 2010.

Welcome Rome Partners! Please contact Jodi via PM if you have any questions, she will be around shortly to introduce herself.

I feel obligated to chime in here and advise all affiliates to stay far away from Rome Partners and their properties. I am surprised to see them certified here and I have lost a lot of respect for AGD with this certification.

This company has done many affiliates wrong in the past and no amount of time that has passed should allow them the opportunity to acquire a certified status here.

In fact, a stronger case can be made for them to be rogued here rather than certified.

NDN - we thought very long on this certification. Rome had issues around a year ago, but have since fixed all the issues (non-payment mostly).

They paid all affiliates up and have continued the trend of treating affiliates fairly since that time. In my opinion, there was no reason they *shouldn't* have been certified.

Sorry you disagree with that :( I think we were fair to both affiliates and Rome when considering certification.

I urge you to do some more research and reconsider this. It's not so much the late payments, but how they handled them and how they treated their affiliates in the process.

Would it be alright if I posted everything I have on file for them so fellow affiliates can see exactly how they can expect to be treated by Rome Partners should they choose to work with them?

If there is one company that I absolutely urge affiliates not to work with it is Rome Partners. I got tangled up in a mess with them that lasted for the better part of a full year and it was only resolved after pleading with them and asking Michael from GPWA and Dave from Top Game for assistance in the matter.

I honestly think AGD loses credibility with this decision, affiliates are left susceptible to future harm, and Rome Partners gets to reap the benefits that they truly do not deserve.

Send me what you have. You should know the email address. I have done a lot of research, though. I don't know *every* story, but that is tough to know :)

Thanks.

I am curious to know your story NDN.. Even though they are certified I will not work with them anymore either for my own reasons.

Ask Andy to forward you my email to him...

I'll gladly make a longer post with my "story" that can serve as a warning to other affiliates, but I'll wait to hear back from Andy to make sure that's fine by him.

I totally agree with NDN.

Rome is an outfit to stay far way from.

I put them on my blacklist sometime ago, right after I dropped them.

Update to Rome Partners Certification:

Rome had payment issues starting in March 2009. Payment issues were outstanding until February 2010 (Was the end of January, in actuality).

Our typical 'Warning' process is that once a program resolves their issues, they have 1 year from that timeline to be marked with a warning symbol before their full certification status is reinstated. For Rome, this would mean that they would have the ability to be certified without warning in February 2011 (which has already passed).

Instead of 'going under / out of business', Rome made a lot of late payments in 2009. Eventually they did make good on all debts. The bigger issue with their repayment is that affiliates did have to work very hard to get their money. Without that extra effort, it is difficult to tell when those payments would have been issued. As a result, I will mark Rome with a warning for an additional 3 months. This will bring the warning back until May 2011.

I know this isn't going to satisfy everyone, but certainly hope everyone can understand the process and why the decision was made.

Damn I hate to do it... But I am outa of here.

Can't be a part of this.

ROME are crooks and I don't want anything to do with anyplace that thinks they are OK.

Andy I have raised my eyebrows at some of your decisions in the past, but it's your forum, so I went along.

However, I simply can't go along with this decision to say that ROME is OK, they are not.

So my only option is to quit the this forum.

Please close my account here as soon as possible.

Well that sucks. Really man. You know me well enough to know that I do everything with the utmost integrity :( What is a better way to handle a program that has been doing ok for the last year after having payment problems? It is a tough call and not a unilateral one.

ROME are crooks
Why do you say that? What are we missing?

As far as I am aware -- Rome had severe payment issues in 2009. But eventually, they did pay what they owed.

How long should something like this be punished? 2 years? 5? Indefinitely?

I hope you'll change your mind and stick around...

If they really are "crooks," we need evidence; simply saying they are crooks isn't enough.

I am not a supporter of Rome for personal reasons but I set that aside to make a decision with the team to change the status of Rome since they have made every effort to fix their past issues. AGD made sure to investigate and research all past issues before making this decision.

I stand behind the team here on this and I hope you stick around.

I understand this is an affiliate forum, BUT....before anyone promotes these crooks, please do a cursory search at CM for Topgame in general and Rome in particular. There is a reason that Topgame and Rome are in the rogue pit there. I have zero idea how they've been treating affiliates the last year, but I can say with confidence that I wouldn't send my worst enemy to play at any Topgame establishment, and especially not at Rome. Non existent player support, whacked out player support, lengthy delays/stalls in payments (as in months)...that's just the tip of the iceberg. And in case anyone has forgotten the missing progressive money (well over 1/2 million), and the gaffed software debacle.

As a player only, I would advise any player to run for the hills when it comes to Topgame. Just my two cents. Hope that's okay. :)

I looked for this and couldn't find Rome listed anywhere at the CM Rogue pit. Can you point it out for me, please?

I did have a look over CM at the threads which mostly appeared to be either resolved or based around bonus terms.

I'm so disappointed in this decision and I will be joining lots0 after this post (feel free to close up my account).

Your explanation basically says that a program can fuck people around for years and then when they "clean" themselves up for 1-year we are all supposed to pretend that the past never happened.

I only wish more affiliates were affected by Rome in the way that myself and several others were.

Didn't Grand Prive just re-launch their affiliate program? If they run a clean show for 1-year are you suddenly going to endorse them too?

Andy, it's nothing personal, but you've been losing many respected members recently who have a lot of years under their belts and it really is a shame. It might be time to reevaluate how things are handled around here and who's interest is being considered when decisions are made.

Time to unsubscribe from this thread and look forward to better days!
