Hi inspiration,

Are you saying you received this via email?

Are you also saying you have an account at one of the playshare casinos and whoever affiliate you signed up at, the affiliate tag was missing from this mailer above?

If that's exactly what your saying, then yes, it's text book unethical cross marketing.

Cheers

:)

Yes received that mail thru my player email account and the link has not been linked to a btag, just the link I posted.

Looks like we have an issue here.

When did they name it The Premiere Gaming Group? Most places like rewards have a special link/banners that is tagged to the affiliate so we can promote all their brands with one link and we are credited for all the casinos the player downloads from off that page!

This is messed up Playshare and cross marketing! WTF is this industry coming to I am getting so fed up.

Shaving & iffy marketing practices is in most parts a known quantity of this industry. In the past we've been able to offset this "cost of doing business" against the good money made.

However these days it's harder to turn a buck for the casinos. With markets disappearing at a fast rate of knots, shaving and unethical practices to remove the affiliate commission is becoming the norm.

It's getting to the point where I personally don't know who to trust.

I hadn't heard of The Premiere Gaming Group until now either. But when I searched in Google just now, one of the very first results was this:

Launch of the Premiere Gaming Group - Gambling Portal Webmasters Association

Dated February 25th, 2010.

I guess I wasn't paying attention.

BTW on the grand mondial casino - about us page you find the link to all the goodies offered at the premiere gaming group, but the download / casino links all go to the master affiliate btag 11418 (not yours)

I am pretty sure they are doing the right thing and tracking players as well

Lawrence has always treated me well. Although I've never met the guy, I don't take him as a person who would piss in pocket or knowingly look the other other way if anything dodgy was going down over at PlaySharePartners.

However given this mailer, I think someone from PSP needs to come here and tell us exactly what's going on.

Yea, their statement suggests that they will track cross promotions, but due to the fact that there are a lot of serious logistical problems that need to be sovles its good for the program to tell the affiliates how they are going to do it. At what level they are tracked.

This needs more than a suggestion that they are tracking correctly. They need a definitive answer to this thread. Hopefully they will see this thread.

After reading the thread:
Launch of the Premiere Gaming Group - Gambling Portal Webmasters Association

It seems that they are tracking the players who are being cross promoted.
I tried to PM user name Grant to let him know about this thread but his inbox is full and can not receive more PMs at GPWA.

I also believe that Grant's post at GPWA that you referenced implies that players are being tracked somehow, and that they are not stealing any players of ours. I'm waiting for Lawrence (whom I trust very much), or someone else from Playshare to explain how it works though.

As far as pm'ing Grant, he headed up the Players Palace affiliate program only, which has recently been acquired and merged into the Playshare Partners stable. Grant left employment there many months back. I think the Playshare Partners forum rep. is the one to pm now, or email Lawrence. Lawrence is a good man.

Look here all of you :

situation I vsitied grand mondial thru my website :

I tested my link to grand mondial casino --> about us --> premiere gaming group link --> with an affiliate manager and it did NOT track MY Btag. The code on the Premiere Gaming Group is hard coded to master affiliate 11418.

Please read again and test yourself if you do not understand.

YOU ALL ARE RIDING ON GOOD FAITH, TRUST but ONE HAS TO DOUBLE CHECK to make SURE tracking is correct, PSP has NOT checked that!!

And YES Larry is a good guy BUT he can not check all changes on their sites YOU have to do this too (Although a program chould be able to run checks of their own).

Situation II I got a promo email
The link to Premiere Gaming Group - not tagged - sent as a promo to me from my player's account.

I can choose to play somewhere else but HOW can one possible track this if there NO such code to begin with ?

Hi all,

Thanks to those for bringing this to my attention. I am looking into this matter with the utmost urgency, and will post feedback as soon as possible.

The Premiere Gaming Group is the parent group for CasinoShare, Grand Mondial and Players Palace Casino, and is meant to give players at these casino a centralized and unified rewards program with a view to increasing player longevity within the group.

As mentioned, I will get back to all of you as soon as I can with further news on this issue.

Thanks,
Lawrence.

Further to this, we did send out communication to affiliates on the 25th of February this year. Here is the relevant excerpt from that newsletter:

PlayShare Partners, on behalf of its casino clients, is extremely happy to announce the impending launch of the Premiere Gaming Group. This group will comprise of CasinoShare, Grand Mondial Casino and Players Palace Casino. These casinos have come together to realize a common vision, which is to redefine, build and grow an unparalleled casino experience for their players, old and new. The Premiere Gaming Group will provide a number of benefits for the marketing partners of both programs.

For you, the affiliate, the benefits of this are clear. Not only will the players you refer to these casinos enjoy the benefits of a stronger and more focused retention program, but they will now enjoy the potential to continue playing within the group for a much longer timeframe. This will be achieved through regular cross-sell campaigns, with the aim to convert more of your lapsed and unconverted players. With this increased player longevity, your earnings potential will be increased exponentially. The best part of it all is you won’t need to do anything more than you already are – Premiere Gaming Group will do it all!

What does this mean for you?

  • Your past, present and future traffic will now benefit from these acquisition and retention programs, resulting in increased player longevity
  • Absolutely no additional effort is required from your side
  • Any activity by players cross-sold to Players Palace Casino will automatically display on your PlayShare Partners statistics reports
  • You will earn at the same commission levels on all casinos, including Players Palace Casino
  • You will automatically be included in these campaigns. Should you wish to opt out at any time, please e-mail your affiliate manager
This really is a win-win situation, which we hope excites you as much as it does us. Please feel free to contact your affiliate manager should you have any questions or concerns about this exciting new project.

Questions :
1. How does this cross selling work with regard to tracking?
2. Has this been tested ?
3. Why is there NO affiliate code tagged to the Premiere Gaming Group link on the site Grandmondial / aboutus?

I want to see examples how this could work and is a benefit to affiliates, I do not want to have another vegaspartnerlounge drama which ended up in cross selling our players for free.
