First Deposit Bonus Forced on New Players :(

I was busy with a review of Mr.Play Casino when I discovered that the first deposit bonus was automatically applied after I made my first deposit. At no stage was there an option to opt out of receiving the welcome bonus.

I contacted support via chat who tried to inform me that it was to my advantage to accept the bonus. I replied that I never accept bonuses and that as a player I should be given an option to accept one. Support went on to say that is why highly unusual for players to not accept a bonus. Eventually, they did remove the bonus from my account.

I contacted my AM who insisted that there was an option to refuse the bonus at registration and when making a deposit. I sent him some screenshots to prove his claim wrong.

Needless to say, I have discontinued the review and will not be listing them.

You need to contact the customer support to remove the bonus. They make it a bit difficult to play without a bonus because they prefer of course that you're stuck to their bad bonus terms.

@DaftDog - thanks for drawing our attention to this.

If there isn't an option to decline a bonus, then it should be just a matter of contacting support to have it removed. While we all know most players like bonuses, there are some cases were some don't. I personally hate being restricted to a bonus.

Hearing that support are trying their hardest to not follow a player's instruction to remove said bonus, is absurd. And frankly, any casino who operates likes this should be called-out.

In this case it took two support staff to assist me as the first one timed out and I had to start the whole process again. From start to finish it must have taken at least half an hour to get the bonus removed. So definitely not as easy as it may seem.

Isn't it easier to just add the option for players to refuse the bonus instead of asking them to contact the customer service?

Thank you for being a responsive representative on AGD. If there is a positive outcome to the way a bonus is applied then I would reconsider listing your brand.
