No big surprise really - been seeing a lot of this recently :(

I've heard that other (bigger) affiliates have had the same treatment - so thought a poll would be a good idea to see if anyone else here was effected!

Out of the blue today, with no warning and no clue why, I got this e-mail:

"Dear KasinoKing,

As per Clause 6.2 of the LeoVegas Affiliate Partner Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”), we regret to inform you that LeoVegas has decided to terminate the Agreement, with an effective date as of today.

Whilst we thank you for the collaboration, please do not hesitate to contact your Affiliate Manager with any queries.

Kind regards,
The Affiliate Team
f.o.b.o. the LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group
"

I know they're in the predatory section, but even so
Maybe just UK based affiliates...?

Hey KasinoKing,

Sorry to hear about this happening to you. We are in the same boat. I have had this happen to me a couple of weeks back. I contacted the compliance team to see if we could work it out, but they mentioned that they had sent me an email a year ago regarding compliance for a site I did not update for years, and thats it. I asked if I could receive that particular email but they didn't contact me back afterwards.

I have worked with them for a long time, so I was actually really surprised by this. I still have active players from years back which they obviously untagged from my account.

It could be possible that you have an outdated uk targeted site with no compliance and a review of them on it, as this was the case for me.

Not sure what to do next, I am still on the fence.

regards,

Jetman

Sorry to hear this guys (and anyone else caught in this net per se).

Clearly they (LeoVegas.com) think it's OK to have such ROGUE terms in their affiliate T&C's. However, using such T&C clause(s), doesn't nullify them from being out-right thieves. Which is exactly what they are, when, they steal affiliates rightful commissions & or tagged players, using the aforementioned clause(s).

No court (in the world) other than a Kangaroo-court, would allow this BS clause(s).

They wrote to me on November 12th asking that I update my site to meet their latest compliance.
I did everything they asked within 24 hours and reported back to them that it was done.

Heard nothing back until this "You're dumped" e-mail today.

Oh well - one less thing to worry about I suppose!

The compliance team sent me an email about one of my sites, asking me to update some stuff and i returned within 1hr from reciving the email with updated everything as they wanted.

The email said the updates and response had to be made within 3 days or my account would be shut down, luckyly they did response all ok same day of the "deadline".

I think its really shit that thouse classic, old casinos have such methods and behavior to their long term affiliates.

If i would be the casino, having to deal with affiliates (such as my self haha) i would ask "hi there, notice your account dont have to much of activity nowdays, since we work to gether, we are here for you, no matter what and no matter how long it takes. We adjusted your account with 15% more commissions covered by our admin fees, hopes this works as a carrot, getting in a player or two"

They refer to clause 6.2 in the email

6.2 Termination
LeoVegas may terminate this Agreement at any given time, without assigning any reason thereto, with such termination being effective immediately. Affiliate may terminate this Agreement at any given time, without assigning any reason thereto, by providing LeoVegas with at least thirty (30) days’ notice in advance. For the purposes of notification of termination, either Party shall notify the other in writing, and notification via e-mail will be considered as a written form of notification and the Agreement shall terminate accordingly.

Looking at this clause from an outsider's point of view, it may seems fair to both parties. However, it's anything but fair. Because affiliates send LeoVegas casino players, and those players are tagged to each affiliate, in addition, to each affiliate earning life-time-commission on these referred/tagged players, LeoVegas could (as has been displayed above) use this clause for nefarious action(s).

Thus placing the affiliate in a situation, where, their rightful commissions, and referred (tagged players) are stolen, by LeoVegas et al.

How long has this FU clause been in the LeoVegas affiliate T&C's?

They can quit paying you for any reason. Whatever sounds good on any given day.
How about some specific reasons.. like non-compliance of whatever rules over a
certain period of time. Make it sound like a legitimate concern and not a money grab.

Our account was terminated back in May 2018 for so called "compliance issues" which was BS. There should be another section added to the poll where a reason was given but it was all BS reason.

The recent regulation changes in Germany most certainly cost this company quite a lot, causing them to lose a ton of casino customers. Their sister Royal Panda was also heavily affected by this. If there are many affiliate account closures now, this is most certainly the result.

It is disappointing as they actually have a very good product.

Please see below the update we just received from the represenatatives:

"Dear 'KasinoKing', 'Jetman' and 'bonustreak'

I’m sorry to learn that you feel ‘dumped’ by our affiliate program.

Generally, termination emails are sent after multiple contact is made regarding changes to advertising to align with specific country advertising code. If a response is not received or changes are not made within a specific timeframe, to protect the brand and align with those codes, then accounts can be terminated.

I appreciate that you mention that you had replied to the emails or requested information from our compliance team but no reply was received. Could you all kindly forward any emails you sent to affiliateteam@leovegas.com (along with your nickname used on the forum) and we will investigate further.

Thank you for your cooperation."

Hey guys,

I am pretty pleased to mention that my Leo Vegas affiliate account was reinstated! Many thanks for the help from AGD in solving this matter. I would also like to thank my new affiliate manager Liz, who has really helped in resolving this matter very quickly.

I really hope that other affiliates that are in a similar situation, will also hear some good news soon.

regards,

Jetman
