There appears to be an industry-wide movement against UK affs. right now.

Dear Affiliate,

We are writing to inform you of an important development regarding your Casumo Affiliate Account.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a mutually beneficial partnership, we regularly review the activity and performance of our affiliate accounts in line with the terms and conditions of our affiliate program.

As stipulated in our official affiliate terms and conditions:

"In the event that the Affiliate fails to refer New Registering Customers during any consecutive three (3) month period, Casumo reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to (i) suspend or terminate the Affiliate account OR (ii) reduce Affiliate’s Commission rate to a flat rate of no more than 10% of Net Revenue until such time that the Affiliate introduces a total of six (6) New Customers within a six (6) month period at which point (effective upon Your referral of the sixth New Customer) Your Commission rate will revert to the standard Commission rates as set out in Clause 19 of these Terms and Conditions."

Upon recent review, it has come to our attention that your affiliate account has not referred any new customer registrations for a consecutive period of three months.
In light of this, and after careful consideration, the decision has been made to close your affiliate account and cease any further commissions.

Please know that this decision was not taken lightly and is in line with our policy to ensure the vitality and effectiveness of our affiliate program.

It's not only UK affiliates. Got the same email and I'm not even able to login to the account and check what trackers/sites are sending traffic there. Greetings from Switzerland.

Same here - it's mid-month, cannot log in to see if I had any money in the account, got a payment from them last month so it's possible I did have.

To just do this mid-month and confiscate any funds you have is really an act of bad faith. At least Betsson let me go and withdraw the balance when it happened. Unlike Casumo.

Why could they have not acted ethically and given notice it would close on the 1st. December and existing balances be paid out?

Retroactive 'theft' on a grand scale.

Unless affiliates ALL stand up against this treatment, it will soon become the norm.

You've been warned ;)

It seems like a widespread issue affecting users beyond the UK. It's frustrating that you can't even log in to check the traffic sources. Hopefully, the issue gets resolved soon. If there is any update, let me know and share. So that everyone can find out the solutions and use them.

Just received this - as an afterthought it seems:

Dear Affiliate,

In relation to the recent affiliate account closure that has affected you, we would like to re-iterate that all outstanding and due commissions earned up to the point of account closure will be paid in full in due course.

We thank you for your patience, understanding and for your partnership with Casumo, we highly appreciate your time and effort invested as a Casumo Affiliate

We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

P.S. Cannot edit my posts so take note of the word 'reiterate' there. There was NO mention of this in the initial e-mail above, as you can see. This latest e-mail is the FIRST 'iteration' of that fact!

Not only UK affiliates affected, they are systematically stealing from all affiliates. They also recently let their top aff manager go, so something is going on. I suspect Casumo, Betsson, and the likes are dying a slow death. Even LeoVegas will be struggling. They just announced something silly about their Swedish license which will see everyone lose their Swedish tagged players.

My advice is to not work with any UKGC licensed casinos. It's a lost cause as these licenses are killing the industry. There is no future in this for neither the vast majority of casinos nor affiliates.

Just a thought:
- SEO affiliates should leave the review on the site but remove it from the toplists.
- Rewrite the review to reflect the current behaviour of Casumo, Betsson, etc
- If this was done at scale by affiliates, I think it would give them something to consider.

This behaviour is becoming a norm, and there should be some counter-measures. It might feel small, but if there are a bunch of sites writing negative reviews about them, it will impact the opinion of the players.

Agree somewhat but this could also poison the relationships with aff progs you still work with. It's plain the aff progs are 'tidying up' which I can understand to some extent but the way some go about it is questionable.

On the other hand, it may serve as a subtle warning to other programs not to try something similar.

Maybe as a collective, we all need to "grow a pair". :)

100% agree and it's our approach. There is a workaround for UKGC licensed programs - pay an upfront €5000 for Due Diligence and no guaranteed coverage. It seems to get rid of them.

Soon...? o_O

You and I both know this bullshit has been going on for a decade or more.
I have been screwed more times than a street-corner hooker!

I haven't had any message from Casumo and I can still access my account, even though there has been no activity on it for 6 months...

99.999% of players will not give two rats about this, because, it doesn't affect them.

The ONLY way to stop this shit, and to possibly see Casumo, Betsson et al overturn this thieving, is to hit them where it hurts. EG - their bottom line. Shame the bastards publicly ;)

Main stream media would jump at these stories.

Issue Press Releases. These operators only do this shit because NO one challenges them.

Yes it has BUT how long did it take you and others to realise for example, VideoSlots.com were screwing you all over sideways? I spoke about this and other scammers till I was blue in the face, and sweet FA people listened or acted - I can't put a gun to people's heads!

The writing was on the wall BUT mostly everyone kept their heads in the sand. Some even justified this thievery with semantic BS, probably in hope they would be left alone.

Interesting. A year ago they closed our main geo for "legislative" reasons with all new players set to 0% but without touching the existing players. So far haven't got the same message but I wonder if they apply the same NDC clause even though we can't "legally" refer any new customers :D Wouldn't expect anything else...
