just took a look at your site to see what brands you promote, and I cant find any information on them. So you have a lovely website with all the relevant information on, except what brands you actually hold. Unless im missing something.

Good catch! :D
Just checked the website and you're right - how silly is that!

For the record, their brands are:
Tropezia Palace
Casino Solero
Slots Million (This new casino was supposed to go live end of February - but we're still waiting...)

Hmm...that's weird. They certainly used to have their brands featured on the AffiliateRepublik website.

In reality, there is currently only one brand to promote: Tropezia Palace.

SlotsMillion is still in development and has been coming soon since I started promoting AR properties a year ago. And Casino Solera hasn't been updated in forever. I think the latest game they've got on that one is Megadeth. In fact, I'm not sure that Solera even accepts new players anymore.

I find it strange as well now that using affiliates link at Tropezia Casino comes up as this http://affiliates.tropeziapalace.com/user/register/ - Copyright © 2015 - Tropezia Affiliates

Could it be shutting down time for Affiliate Republik? And was this a reason Marit left? As it has not been the same since she left. I rarely get emails anymore....

I only just had one last month because of IGB awards to vote for their affiliate managers. Apart from that last email before that was in August!

And was this a reason Marit left?

Marit was a very nice young lady with manners and a sartorial work ethos. When she left, AR went downhill.

Hello everyone!
Oh, the unanswered mysteries behind affiliate republik brands. It is actually a very long story I'm happy to tell to the ones who want to hear it. I will try to be short here. We've removed Solera casino because it was not performing very well, it was running on a platform from 2006 and originally did very well in the Spanish market, but after the regulations we were not able to take care of the Spanish players. Actually Solera left very early on.
Tropezia palace is originally a French Casino, we launched it on the international market. It started well but it was very hard to keep up with the competition mostly because we have been so busy developing a new platform and brand.
Marit spend one year in Spain, and decided to move back to the UK and focus on her own affiliate business - I would not say that affiliate republik went downhill, maybe somebody might think that because nobody can replace Marit - she was great with staying in touch with everybody, connected to forums, and always be a true social butterfly. Maybe externally we make less noise today, but we have more than doubled in size since Marit left, approaching 50 employees now.

SlotsMillion is finally live, after a very long time of development. Check it out and I eagerly welcome any feedback.
Standing by to answer any further questions, and would be very happy to be promoted by you.

That's fantastic BUT as an affiliate trying to promote your brand, it becomes hard when my AM (whoever that is?) doesn't keep in contact. I used to get mailers from Marit about once a week. Since she left, I can't recall getting a single one.

When I did a search for SlotsMillion (Google), it gave the following:
slotsmillion.gif

Naturally thinking it was number 2, visited it and while the logo seemed right (from memory) the casino certainly wasn't finished. That btw was yesterday. Turns out though, listing #1 is the correct location for the casino. #2 listing is, well I don't know what it is but the whois records don't match slotsmillion.com

However if I'd have received updates from my Affiliate Republik AM, I'd have known SlotsMillion was open and I'd have the correct URL etc.

In which case, I could have swapped Tropezia for SlotsMillion, which, least for one (1) of my sites, I have you guys extensively marketed, I might start seeing better conversions, because SlotsMillion is a modern theme and seems a lot better suited to English players.

So in this example Affiliate Republik has dropped the ball; gone downhill, since Marit left ;)

So I spend some time checking out SlotsMillion... Browser FireFox - v 35.0

1'st thing I discover, there is no visible scroll bar. Hence content below the fold is not viewable but the top of it is being displayed

With a last ditched idea, I use my mouse wheel, only then does a scroll bar appear. Nice affect BUT how many players are not going to realise to use their mouse wheel, not all mouses have a wheel!

I then place my mouse pointer in the position, where, a scroll bar usually is and nothing happens. It's only when I press the left mouse button, the scroll bar appears. Again nice affect but how many referred players are going to figure this out... not many I'm guessing. Took me a while & I'm an internet veteran.

KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. Meaning why have something that could very well reduce signups, when a static scroll bar is expect on a PC!

Most internet users start hitting the back button, if a site doesn't commence loading within 5 sec. Using this as a gauge, how long do you think a potential player (referred or otherwise), will stay on site, if they can't locate the scroll bar? My opinion not too long!

If I can't scroll a casino site, I wouldn't sign-up. I'd find another place to join/play... just saying ;)

Look - no scroll bar

More that doubled your staff BUT still not offering 24/7 live chat/support... Seriously?

CHAT WITH US
The live chat is open between 10.00 and 22.00. If you need to contact us outside of these hours, click on "Email", or write us at support @ slotsmillion.com.

Does that mean the support center is operational 24/7?

OR

If I player uses the email address outside of the" live chat" hours, will they still have to wait for a reply between 10:00 and 22:00. EG if a player sends an email at 22:01, will they have to wait 12 hours or so for a response?

No you wouldn't - they haven't made Slots Million available for affiliates to promote yet, which only fuels speculation that they are "shaving" our Tropezia players and trying to get them over to the new casino with no tags :(

I really don't understand what is going on here - I met Adnan and even went out to dinner with him and just 6 or 8 other people (including Bonustreak) at LAC last year, right after he picked up the Best Affiliate Manager at the IGB awards, and I have to say he was one of he nicest affiliate people I have ever met. But since then things have just seemed to have slipped away sharply and to be honest, I'm more than a little disappointed, because I left LAC with very high hopes of an excellent future for this group.
Now we find Tropezia not even UK licensed, and Slots Million launched with (seemingly) the affiliates left out in the cold.

Hopefully I will bump into Adnan again at LAC this year and he will shed some light on what's going on...

What browser are you using?

Where in the above screen cap is the "scroll bar", it's not there o_O

Not everyone is aware of the keyboard short cuts ;)

Just my opinion but why make it hard to use a site, when it should be as easy as scratching your nose!

Good morning good people, thank you for your comments. I will list them one by one and reply to them here.

I think that the most important thing to start with is to say that we have added SlotsMillion into the affiliate program yesterday around 6 PM central European Time. Maybe half hour to one hour before I arrived here and posted my first comment yesterday.

BET4YOU
"However if I'd have received updates from my Affiliate Republik AM, I'd have known SlotsMillion was open and I'd have the correct URL etc."
- We have not even sent out the first press release yet. Fresh out of the oven. Links are ready now and I am happy to help.

"In which case, I could have swapped Tropezia for SlotsMillion, which, least for one (1) of my sites, I have you guys extensively marketed, I might start seeing better conversions, because SlotsMillion is a modern theme and seems a lot better suited to English players."
- Yes, I believe that you're right and I strongly believe that SlotsMillion should have better conversions then Tropezia Palace.

"So in this example Affiliate Republik has dropped the ball; gone downhill, since Marit left"
- As we have been waiting a very long time for the launch of the new casino, in the meantime we had to shut down Tropezia on the UK market, there hasn't been much of exciting news to share with affiliates. Trust me I have been crying on the inside waiting for this day where we have a product that we can promote, and work with.

"1'st thing I discover, there is no visible scroll bar"
- This has been on my fighting list for ever, it has been agreed to add a visible scrollbar. This was a modern approach by our designers that simply stuck around despite the feedback. There is a ticket in the pipeline to change this - personally, I'm having a celebration once this is implemented, it's been bothering me for very long time.

"KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid"
- I cannot agree with you more! Especially because we are dealing with players in all ages, different operating systems, browsers, screen sizes, as well as international customers whose level of English is not as high as native speakers. We have designed SlotsMillion with simplicity in mind, and there are obvious improvements that we have already submitted to the pipeline. Thank you, I'll start using this term KISS!

"not offering 24/7 live chat/support"
"Does that mean the support center is operational 24/7?"
"If I player uses the email address outside of the" live chat" hours, will they still have to wait for a reply between 10:00 and 22:00. EG if a player sends an email at 22:01, will they have to wait 12 hours or so for a response?"

- We have just launched, so we do not have support 24/7. I think that the support hours are okay for a launch. We do have about five or six new agents started this week who are taking part of the training right now. With the demand, the support hours will also increase.
- If a player sends an email at 10 p.m, he will most likely get a reply within one hour, the agents are here until 11 at the moment. Again, the working hours will increase with time.

KASINOKING
"they haven't made Slots Million available for affiliates to promote yet, which only fuels speculation that they are "shaving" our Tropezia players and trying to get them over to the new casino with no tags"
- Hi M, as you're just finding out, we have started only a few hours ago, and you are on my list to call. But I thought it would be better to reply to this thread first. We are not shaving in any way, as a matter fact, we have done one round of cross-selling emails with the original affiliate tags. We did this to bring some initial traffic to test the site live in the past four weeks. There are a few affiliates who already have some players on the new brand. I am sad that you would speculate that we would shave.

"But since then things have just seemed to have slipped away sharply and to be honest, I'm more than a little disappointed, because I left LAC with very high hopes of an excellent future for this group."
- I can understand that, and trust me, it has been a very painful year. We planned to launch in February last year, right after the LAC. In the end, the platform was simply not ready and we had to continue working on it.

"Now we find Tropezia not even UK licensed, and Slots Million launched with (seemingly) the affiliates left out in the cold."
- Tropezia was not the best brand for the UK, and we are sure that SlotsMillion will work much better. We are in the process to apply for the license.

"Hopefully I will bump into Adnan again at LAC this year and he will shed some light on what's going on..."
- Yes, I'm sure we will have a good chat at the LAC, and guys, I'm always happy to answer emails, skype and phonecalls, no need to speculate :)

We will ramp up our newsletter and increase our communication now. To be honest with you, since we have been waiting, I did not want to send bunch of letters and to be boring while not having a good product for you to promote. It was my call to send less newsletters, as I prefer to have less unsubscribes, and to send newsletters when there's something important to share. I do value your time and I do not want to waste it.

On the first site, The affiliate has been smart and figured out our tracking links composition. He simply created his own links targeting the slotsmillion.com URL and posted the content in advance to rank for the keyword. Good job!!

The second site is part of our own network, it is not active yet, if you click on that link it brings you back to the same page, we will add the tracking links very soon.

The third site is an affiliate who posted the review a while back in order to get indexed by Google. If you click on the link, it brings you back to the same page, they have not put in the tracking link yet. I will contact them shortly give them the new tracking link.
