I don't think this type of offer in general is that unusual. For example, Netspend Prepaid Debit Cards offers you $5 or $20 FREE, after you load your card for the first time with a minimum of $20. A sign-up bonus. They're offered everywhere, and for all different types of businesses.

The casino gives a $50 freebie to the player. The player either plays it or cashes it out.

Nothing new about that, just that it's easier to cash out and many more will do so. Casino gets nothing except a signup even if the player plays it, it's fake money to start with. No different from any freebie except for the WR.

The player deposits $25 and either plays it or cashes it out. If he cashes out, the wallet gets to hold it for a few minutes.

I don't see anyone putting up real money, sending it through a system and getting it back from there, other than the player and his $25.

What am I missing?

This whole thing could be fixed real easy though by just applying a 1X playthru on the deposit of $25...

Deposit $25, get $50 free. You then can cash it out so you have $75. EWX charges 10% to withdraw?

That would be $7.50 for each new person using this EWX promo, nice for them lol. Affiliates also have the risk of loosing say 30% of each $75 cashout?

Doesn't look to good to me if all this above is correct?
