i assume it's available above certain post count...

Yes, it is more of a 'quality' post count thing. So - the more you contribute, the closer you get to having a signature. It's automated. Sorry - being this type of forum we had to put in a preventative measure to keep the spamming and link attainment methods to a minimum.

question: i've noticed that when i change my signature- it is changed on all my posts. What effect it has in terms of seo? There are members here with thousand post- can you get penalized if suddenly 1000 links change?

I would say no, as AGD is seen by Google as a trusted (non-spam related) site. I have my sig links in place and can't say for sure what value it provides, it does me no harm. The key is to have a wide portfolio (verity) of high quality links.. A few forum sig links included

I've never had a problem with it.. Sometimes I remove some of the sites I have listed and add others.. It has never had a negative effect for my sites.
