I say the only reason G wants mobile ready is to be able to serve ads better. Could be wrong.
Hmm.. never thought of that, that could be it! Nothing else seems to make much sense. As long as there is no Java on a site, I can view 99% of desktop sites just fine from my phone.I say the only reason G wants mobile ready is to be able to serve ads better. Could be wrong.
Hi,
I'm still trying to get a definative answer to this question. Maybe you can help
If a site is not mobile compatible, are ALL its Google SERPS penalised or just those for mobile searches?
In some of my major money keywords.. there are still plenty of sites non mobile friendly ranking in the top 10.. with weak backlink profiles and spammy content.. So i did not see much change.. I think it might affect certain industries more than others perhaps?
I'm new here also - so thought I'd take this opportunity to say Hi from the UK!
Just to clarify - the mobile algorithm update on the 21st April didn't actually penalise sites that aren't mobile friendly within the mobile search rankings , it just gave a ranking boost to those that were, so in effect ones that weren't just got overtaken. if that makes sense .
