What do I expect?

Meet people I work with, other webmasters, people I know, etc.

Besides that a shit-show with mega booths of dodgy programs like 888, Active Wins, William Hill, Ladbrokes, Kindred, etc.,smaller booths of brands that desperately spend irresponsible amounts of money to get some exposure at this kind of events and forex/binary/crypto guys without booth interrupting people attending the conference.

If it is your first then it is definitely worth going. I was quite nervous on my first visit but quickly got over that by getting wasted with all the free beer on offer. Once you have done it you can evaluate whether it was useful to you for future LACs.

make sure you go the day before so you can pre-register and get all your passes etc otherwise the queues are massive on day 1

First conference, or just your first LAC?

The only thing I really don't like is the location, since they moved it out from the city-centre to Excel.
It's a pain to get to.
I'm planning my trip now - and I'm looking at staying somewhere further east so I can get there going towards London, rather than out from the centre among 10,000 rats in a sewer!

But apart from that - it's definitely the No.1 conference of the year and 100% worth the effort to get there!

LAC is such a weird one from an affiliates perspective. It's worth going if you've never been before just for the experience but in my experience if you're not going to meet with other affiliates and share ideas / catch up it's got massively limited value. It's the real life equivalent of getting emailed by affiliate manages looking for positions or traffic.

I guess if you like to be wined and dined by your top programs then it's worth going but in the past I've come away wondering why I bothered.
