Wow, burning the midnight oil or what, Martyn?? It's much appreciated.

I don't know if I got hit by this seizure or not, but if I did, it's part of the biz. And if a program has earned a reputation for being honest like AE has, why hassle them over it? I know we're upset over this, but so is the casino; they got burned, too. Point your anger where it belongs - the US - and make it work to get this legal situation resolved so it doesn't happen anymore.

Thanks for this and to be honest the response has either been cool and a kind of sh*t happens approach to... well lets just say the other end of the scale.

I understand fully the responses I am getting and I appreciate your relaxed approach to whatever your outcome might be. I am still working through so will be in touch if you are hit by this.

If a player won and played back some or all of that money did or do affiliates receive commission on that money? or was that deducted because you really didn't receive the players money?

I'm not angry at all....I ask a simple question that wasn't answered. With that being said I'll refrain from making comments or asking questions to try to educate myself and learn more about this industry.

Sorry if I stepped on your toes Martyn that wasn't the intention. I was just asking a question. We've been in the negative for 3 months so its not like we were expecting a boat load.

I'm not sure where this came from either...

I thought I answered your post?

If the players funds were caught up in the seizure, then affiliates will not receive commissions on these seized revenues. That is the key part. Whether they won and played it back or not, if the funds were locked in eWalletXpress then we didnt receive the funds as a result.

I really feel sorry for all the USA Programs these days as it seems these financial losses occur every few months.I am willing to bet the other surviving processors will go their route in the future.I think had we been told in advance they will charge these amounts back and Spread the deductions over a couple months or more it would be more acceptable.
The programs more or less did a seizure of affiliate funds much like the processors did. These remarks are not towards CWC just my general take on the USA programs which is why we are in process to cut all Casinos accepting USA significantly. We have stuck it out four years but I have heard so many stories from friend and how difficult it is to deposit. One of my friends had a $5000 a month gambling habit but now she plays for free on pogo ,her reason is she bought so many prepaid cards that did not work and lost 15% in fees just buying and cashing them back that she gave up.

Ditto, word for word, even including the anecdote of the player who switched to Pogo. I have several of these.

I know that the high returns in this industry come with a certain amount of risk for affiliates (and for operators) but I have to say that I'm a little surprised by some of the reactions here. I'm not unwilling to give the benefit of the doubt and accept my share of some losses when it comes to chargebacks and seizures, and I'm not trying to put you in the hot seat Martyn, but if it's ok for AE to do this does that make it ok for other operators to do so as well? If, for example this happened with a program that's not as well liked as AE would you guys feel the same? I'm asking because I've found myself in this position with a few programs...

I see people just resigning themselves to this. Before, when Rivals did it, everyone was bitching.

If I resign myself to it, I will have to draw the consequences and decide that the US is just not profitable anymore and stop facing that direction.

My revenues from US facing properties are way down anyway, while overseas facing properties are showing increased revenues.

It's very sad to see. Looks like the DOJ wins afterall.

For me it's down to trust. I know the guys from AE pretty well and feel I can trust them so when something like this comes up, even though I agree with Andy in wanting to know more about the figures, I trust them to be doing the right thing.

If it was a program I didn't know well then yes, I would have my doubts. I'd definitely want to see paperwork. Trust is often gut feel - you can never be 100% sure I guess.

Many may be resigning themselves to the charge backs AND losses for seisures. For myself it made me evaluate my US Partners.Pantasia for us is the highest Rival revenue ,we lost 99.6% of November income and we pulled all rivals with exception of affiliate wide in December as a test.Even with no new players my Pantasia account looked 'normal' and we lost only $15.00 in December so we put them back on site.
The rest of Rivals other than on one single rival page they will not be advertised again.
Bodog and Casino Coins has been consistent for us so we will keep them on.We pulled CWC casinos except for The original brand and high noon in november and I talked to Martyn and told him why ,we find the oldest casino still works with us but they have so many new casinos it is affecting the other brands IMO.We will probably pick one brand from each USA facing group and that will be the extent of our servicing USA player in 2011.

Martyn, do you have an ETA for payments yet?

How do, payments will be cleared off over the next few days/going into next week.

We want to clear all this off well before the end of the month and then progress "as normal" with the commission run in February.

So that means I should be looking out for an e-mail and my November payment won't be pending anymore? This is all supposed to be happening this week?

Will we ever get paid?

So i noticed that some people finally have gotten paid through their Neteller account, but what about the rest of us? I'm still waiting on my November payment, and I haven't heard a word about it yet. I thought everything was taken care of. Has anyone gotten correspondence with anyone?
