Just received this from Betsson. What's the point with a German license, really? As an affiliate it's totally worthless to send German players to them going forward.

We would like to inform you about the regulatory changes which will come into effect on July 1st 2021 in the German market. The regulation will mainly affect the type of commission payments Betsson Group can offer to our affiliate partners for players referred after July 1st as well as the revenue share commissions we are currently paying on existing players.

The German regulator has made any commission payments based on player revenues illegal; we are therefore forced to work exclusively on a CPA basis with our affiliate partners. Please get in touch with your account manager to find out how we can continue to work together in the future.

We have also reviewed our obligations towards existing revenue share agreements and unfortunately it is inconclusive if the regulator will allow us to keep honoring these. Our legal teams have therefore advised us to put all revenue share payments on hold until we have more clarity on the legal situation in the market to ensure we are compliant with the local regulation. We will pursue a clear framework regarding commission structures from the regulator within the next 3 months and as soon as we have a green light, we will continue to pay revenue share commissions retroactively.

We are currently in the process of acquiring a casino license in Germany for our Betsson brand, until we have the go ahead from the German regulator, we will not be able to offer new deals to our partners. As soon as the authorities have given us permission, we will proceed with casino affiliation in Germany on a CPA basis.

Unfortunately, we will also have to inform you of the closure of our poker product in the German market, due to the new turnover tax of 5.3%. We will review the viability of offering poker to our German customers in the future.

Good luck with that! But I have a feeling that LVBet Casino is shit in terms of conventions, and players won't come back after the 1st deposit or at least will not be playing there for long, especially small ones that deposit 20 and cashout if win 40.
There is a 5 EUR fee for 2nd, 3rd and so on withdrawals in the same week, which isn't player-friendly at all.

Energy Casino has the most weard affiliate company i every had to deal with.
They accidentanly payd one months commissions double to my bank. Amount was less than 22€ and they wanted me to transfer it back asap. I asked if they cud just reduce it from next months commisions - would be so much easier but "NO - THIS MONEY NEEDS TO BE PAID TO US ASAP! END OF DISSUCION."

Well, i then i explaned that in that case they need to invoice it from me since i have reported the income to our goverment (VAT = Monthly reporting of taxes in sweden) and the paperwork of it all is taking hours from bouth of us for such crapy small amount, but still a NO. THIS NEEDS TO BE PAID NOW!

I cud easily send them more players and generate thousends of euros in revenues in a blink of en eye but for the sake of 22eur they lost every future chance to make one single cent with me.

Must add, i"m a long term affiliate for 18+ years now and will not stop within the next 10 or so (if i dont drop dead ofcource)

I have multiple player groups, as they split my players into multiple groups as we changed revshare and CPA plans, and currently I am missing stats from two of them since the last few days of May.

Emailing their support directly is usually useless, and they send generic responses or say that they can't see the problem (which is most frustrating). So I informed the account manager about this two weeks ago, and he said that the ticket was raised but that we were still waiting for a response from the tech team.

Over the two years, I've sent them over a thousand NDCs and almost tripled the deposit amount compared to last year, but the revenue is about the same. I hope its only a bad luck and will change with time.

You are not the only one with the same problems.
I stopped promoting this brand a long time ago. They are shameless. Apart from the fact that the real RevShare is very low, on top of that the support service is very bad.
In my years of experience I see a very bad trend with the biggest casino brands. Initially, when they first start they behave well with affiliates, but once the company has "grown" they start treating affiliates like slaves.
As the situation in the industry is, it seems to me that the way of working with many affiliate programs needs to be changed. In my opinion everything is going towards the Flat Fee model.
And the culprit is the growing number of iGaming affiliates, which, may subscribers forgive us this expression, are starting to "flounder". And with this we couldn't agree more.
Revenue Share is a great model and basis of igaming marketing, but there are a number of affiliate programs, to which, unfortunately, it is less and less applicable. These are programs that have been seen to retroactively change the Revenue Share rate. Or they seem to leave the rate the same, but change the formula of its calculation (not in favor of affiliate of course). Or they were caught cross-marketing. Or other strange things happened to the players.
