I know it is tough finding the right people to design your website... I have a pair of folks that do HTML Slicing to WP Theme and then a WP Designer that does awesome things with the software.
The HTML Slicer typically slices images that YOU design. So - you do have some upfront work to have your site designed. Slicing to WP Theme can be anywhere from $150-$200USD.
The WP Designer can make that theme flow perfectly and can make WP do anything. This charge can be substantial, depending upon the design - but he is super fast, super good. So - well worth the pricetag.
