William Hill quitting Israel

I am sure the move to Tel Aviv cost William Hill a large number of affiliates who previously had great trust in their company. WH as well as Ladbrokes rely on affiliate traffic and this move once again shows that scamming business partners on a large scale is not a good solution for any large affiliate program in the long run.

There are always some who ignore warnings and still promote their brands, or others who do not know what they are doing, but relying on this type of affiliate besides a few super affiliates has obviously been a mistake for William Hill. I think many would like to promote them but I do not see how the past few years could be corrected again, even if the Israel operation is officially shut down for good.

Exactly. Still don't really believe the line thought that staff being made redundant over there are welcome to other positions at their European offices. They surely want rid of these people who are Playtech loyal and even walked out a few years ago causing chaos to the company.

However after their move and the purge of Israeli staff, if they come out and say "sorry for what happened in the past, we want a fresh start" then I would be prepared to listen as long as the new staff there were prepared to do the same.

The one and only thing I would ask them for is a written and signed contract, clearly stating the terms that we'll both abide by. If they're willing to do that, I'm willing to let bygones be bygones.

If not, they can stay on the fuck off list where they are now.

How can I trust a brand that was shaving and mistreating affiliates for years... The only thing that could perhaps change my mind is a compensation fee and a proof that things really have changed there...

Finding Ladbrokes / Coral very hard to deal with in Israel. They already removed one concession that I always had without any discussion at all. They are very shortsighted and I have moved them off the money pages. Have always done my utmost to avoid all Israel-based programs as they are proven time and again as fundamentally dishonest, but programs keep moving there. Coral was one of my best programs just a few months ago and now I'm on the verge of binning them completely.

On the topic of William Hill, where did all the bad eggs from the Topping era in Israel go to when they were ejected / walked out? Winner.

Did anyone manage to speak to William Hill at Amsterdam to find out (gloat! ) about whether they're moving to the UK or elsewhere? I was in Amsterdam but ran out of time to go talk to these slimy b%^stards.

Bad news everyone - William Hill are moving from Israel, probably to London so I hear, but most of the Israeli staff are moving to London too!

Baffles me how they somehow get free movement to go work in the UK.

So the rule still stands - I wouldn't even work with William Hill even if my own mother was my affiliate manager!

It's also strange how William Hill is being so nice to allow the current staff to move when just a few years ago they were totally loyal to Playtech and walked out of the office, almost bringing the company to its knees.
