I like your attitude thus far, and as long as you keep that attitude up you are likely to do well! I like to think I FORCE the serps to recognize my sites by throwing so much content and work into them. Many days I do work 12 hours... Some days I work none, but for the most part I am always working whenever I'm not doing anything else. For the most part I enjoy it so to me, it is easy. Or at least a hell of a lot easier then getting up every morning at 7am to make someone else rich!

No lie, this part kinda made me laugh out loud :)

Thanks, glad i made you laugh, but why was that line i said about mascot funny may i ask?? hahaha

Just an FYI - he wasn't saying your site is spammy or you aren't here for the long haul :) He was pointing out that Google would 'prefer' it if you had your site registered for longer considering it is a new domain especially. There are tons of spam sites that go up every day which will have 800+ pages by this time. Google tries to weed them out and could catch yours in the process (accidentally). His advice is sound - register for longer ;) I do the same.

You are on the right track with everything else, IMO.

saying we only registered our domains for 12 months, doesn't prove otherwise

You asked for advise I gave it.

spammers register domains for 12 months, hence the name, throw-away domains. (Google is well aware of this). To gain some cred from Google, I register all my new domains for a min of three (3) years.

If you'd have actually read and understood what I was saying TigerLair, in relation to the "12 months" domain registration, you'd realise, I was giving you a great tip and trying to help you!

Instead, you bag me out...

Thanks all,

@Bet4You - I wasnt bagging you m8, and i did read about the 12 month rule too, well i will renew the domains then, so they are for longer. it is not a big deal.

Thanks for the advice, and thanks guard dog too for saying we are on the right track, it makes me feel that we are doing everything else right, which i knew we was anyway :)

Glad to be a part of this forum, and thanks everyone again for all the help and support and sorry Bet4You if my post came across wrong too.

I challenge you to give me 1 long tail keyword that would convert. Because in my experience it just doesnt convert at all.

FYI a "longtail" search term is not a single keyword!

This would be considered a longtail:
UK casinos accepting PayPal deposits (competition approx 650,000 listings in Google).

As apposed to the keywords - UK casinos (27 mil+ listings). A "longtail" is a highly targeted search "phrase". Which would likely be, a player looking to deposit at a UK casino who accepts PayPal ;)

Build enough of these into your site and you wont have to bother about aiming for highly competitive keywords. Reiterating, I've had sites which produced 3,000+ longtail phrases. While each 1 may only get 1,2 or 3 unique searches a month, it's the sheer volume of "longtail" search phrases which produce the highly targeted traffic, in turn, gets the sign-ups.

Personally, I'd rather have 3,000+ longtail searches to my site each month, than bust my chops on competitive keywords.

Albeit it takes time for these longtails to start producing but it takes time to make money in the verticle too. So imo the wait is worth it!

OH and btw honestgaz, I checked out your site and you have no meta tag descriptions for any of your pages. Maybe this is why your not doing so well in the serps.

"UK casinos accepting PayPal deposits"
we'll 2 things.. 1. "UK casinos accepting PayPal deposits" as a keyword comes back as "0" that's ZERO searches on google keywords.. so I wouldn't be expecting much traffic from that, and 2. you would be competing with massive sites who are already super optimised and ranking for "uk casinos" "paypal casinos" uk casinos paypal" and all the other associated keywords. Who might I add already out rank and out seo the competition.
