Webmaster Tool question

I am wondering about something.
Google Webmaster Tools checks your sitemaps. The sitemap gets updated daily on my websites.

Sometimes I have to remove a page or post, for whatever reason.

These posts and pages keep coming up in Webmaster Tools as missing, no found. Even after a year or so?

Is this normal? Shouldn't it read the new sitemaps, without the old pages?

it's normal and it does not hurt, your site is doing it's job and shows it as a 404 right?

It sometimes takes Google a Long time to remove old pages from serps.. You can speed up the process by going to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals

Same here and 404 is taking by default, is it fine?
