Hi guys,

I am getting some organic visitors from google for certain keywords and I also have visitors clicking on casino CTA's (implemented a tracking script for this) but however none of them seem to convert! No registrations or FTD's!

Welcome to the "group"... same here

I do like the site, however I would split test on a simplified version of the home page. I'm assuming that is a high traffic page for you? If not, maybe breakdown your best pages in terms of where the traffic is going to and look at ways to improve.

I think the spinney section that reveals the bonus is nice and cool but what is the user didn't hover over and never revealed the bonus info breakdown? What if they click to go through to the site out of curiosity and find out that that bonus isn't for them.

I also think that there might be a little too much going on which is distracting the visitors, possibly too many colours on the bonus section, too many places to click? I'm all about simplistic, I'm also very simple. :)

Finally, I think you're also missing a trick by not having my casino on there. :D

If this is your first site then i think you're doing alright in terms of what you've got set up. Traffic and conversions take a while and don't forget, some of your clicks could be those pesky affiliate managers checking out if their links are in place correctly or your peers having a nosy around, KasinoKing is bad for that.

My opinion is google is probably sending low quality traffic.. really its just a page full of buttons.. no actual value

I would replace some casinos (scam certified, fake games, slow or non payments... I don't name them, just perform some searches here and on search engines) on that page.
People now know that they are to be avoided like AIDS. And your conversions may be low for that reason...

Someone pointed out a new brand that it pays to promote... i don't name hiM too :D

Side note: the site is totally broken on Firefox Mobile and Chrome Mobile. Some issues on Safari too. Consider to fix it. Mobile traffic outsourced desktop traffic some time ago.

Hi, I also waited 6 months for my first FTD. I wrote a lot of text and tried to do SEO. This is really hard work. Day by day, week by week. You really need discipline.

Hi

Just checked the website, and it seems good, you should not have problems with conversions from my point of view. I´ve been waiting for my first depositor for 4 months, just don´t give up and after some time you will create a strong player database :)

Wish you luck

it's not buiilt for high quality traffic

What does high quality traffic mean for you. How do you define that? Would interest me. :)
Take a look at the top 10 results and that will give you an Idea.. you have gone the old school route of page full of casinos with no real reason for a player to visit you

hmm,
Ultimately there is only 1 thing that matters! It doesn't matter if you have 1000s of visitors 100s of clicks, if your affiliate tracking codes are not working. The first thing to check is if you affiliate links are tracking correctly. register an account to see if the reg is taken up by the casino - and also ask a few friends to register and make a small deposit on different casinos from your website. Make absolutely sure the tracking are working! I have heard from a couple of casinos that about 15-20% of their customers (which are coming from affiliates) and not being correctly tracked...

If someone has previously mentioned this, sorry for regurgitating it.

One word... BOTS...

It's not only Google, Bing and other bona fide SE's that visit a site, and also follow links. A site is also hit with a plethora of other bots too. These include fake UA's (EG fake Google bots etc), Baidu (Japanese SE which doesn't respect robot.txt, nor header updates), instead sucks down page after literally page and does this numerous times a day, all with different IP's. Along with that, you have sites such as ahrefs, semrush, majestic to name but a few (there are a LOT of others). Add scrapers, script kiddies and all the other crap that finds you site and crawls it.

On the surface it might seem like your getting genuine punters to your site/pages, and subsequently, they're clicking your aff links. However, pulling your site's raw-log-file(s), will show a completely different picture.

To put this into real world statistical terms:
100 unique visits showing to you site, could very well be as little as 10 bona fide punters, or even less.

These days clicks from your aff program stats, isn't something to gauge the success of your promotions on. Instead, you need to really understand what traffic is actually arriving at your site, and work from there ;)

Hmmmm I ran your Best Casino Finder and the location check had me in Thailand. I'm in the UK. I ran Whatsmyip and it confirmed UK for me. You might have an issue with your GEO Targeting.

Oh and another thing. The site isn't compliant for any UK traffic. If you're targeting UK players and licensed casinos you'll need to make sure your displaying Significant T&C's for all the bonuses you list and change the CTA's so they don't create a sense of urgency.

Hey guys. This thread is old now, but I'm interested in knowing how the story developed. did it work out for OP? How is your player base now? We did one original site on a crappy WP blog (total fail but by some miracle got one short-term high roller). Rebuilt our site last year in July and have had 3 players since. It's a part-time thing, though - probably only have 100 pages published. Anyway, based on y analytics I'd say 70% or more of visitors are bots - for every 1k visitors, probably 300 max are real punters.

Almost 7 years ago I spent $20 on a domain name bought from someone on AGD. I rapidly wrote 8 articles and put a wordpress website live. During this time I only cleaned the website from some crappy affiliate programs that went rogue and nothing else.

Today, the website (if we can call it website) has not a single backlink, the domain is a long one, it has a homepage and 8 articles, PA8 and DA3 but even if it's a little bit crappy, around 300-400 visitors somehow find this website and make me more than $500 every month :D

So, even if SEO and good content matters, a little bit of luck can make you earn some $$ too.
