Hey all,

I've implemented and retroactively applied a user restriction. Now users with not enough posts will not have the ability to do the following:

• Start Conversations (PM)
• Blog
• Create Profile Posts
• Create Signatures
• Upload Avatars
• Have links in posts

Its not so much an issue with user profiles, but with how they are being used. On the forum index page I can see a list of "New Profile Posts". In it I can see a person looking to buy websites, someone chasing up a late payment, and a proposal to run a white label casino.

I'm fairly sure these sort of things would not be something that the people posting them would want published on the index page of the forum for all to see. Perhaps its because they can't send PMs or something but maybe you need a big fat warning message that says that profile messages are publicly viewable.

Yes, basically, that is not really what profile posts are meant for. I'll see if I can remove, but it is a base feature - so will require coding.

I want to add an Avatar but keeps coming up with an error? Server error? Not sure if I have hit the post quota but seems to be an error when I upload...

Yes I have. I first signed up because I needed to PM a member here and there was no problem doing so. But it looks like I don't have that privilege anymore. Could I get it back, pretty please?

That's because you don't have enough quality posts. I changed your user group to allow avatar changing. Have to worry about spammers coming in with a couple stupid posts and then putting up a banner or links, so it is pretty much locked down.

you cannot change it. I can, however, in the admin end of things. PM me.
