US-regulated affiliate programs — anyone else struggling to get in?

We're trying to expand our US-regulated affiliate partnerships but keep hitting a wall. Programs either don't respond at all, or come back saying they're not taking on new partners at this time.

Curious whether this is a widespread issue or something specific to our situation. Has anyone found an effective way to get a real response from US-regulated programs, or is the standard application form basically a black hole?

From what I’ve seen, the standard forms can definitely feel like a black hole. A lot of programs get flooded with applications and prioritize affiliates with existing US traffic. Building a relationship with an affiliate manager first can make a big difference.
