The UK Gambling Commission has fined Platinum Gaming Limited £10 million for repeated anti-money-laundering and social-responsibility breaches. The operator, which runs Unibet and Bingo.com, failed to act on clear signs of problem gambling — including players losing thousands in just days. Investigators found that blocked accounts were reopened and that customer checks were inadequate. This is Platinum Gaming’s second major penalty after a £2.9 million fine in 2023, signalling tougher UKGC enforcement and growing pressure on licensees to tighten compliance and player-protection standards across all operations.
