The UK Gambling Commission’s latest Q1 2025 report reveals a 2% year-on-year rise in total online gross gambling yield, hitting £1.3 billion. The growth was fueled primarily by online slots, which surged 6% to £618 million, even as the number of active slot accounts dipped 3% to 3.6 million. Average slot session length remained steady at 17 minutes, with 8.4% of sessions exceeding an hour. Online betting saw a slight decline, while casino and slots maintained momentum. The Commission noted the importance of ongoing responsible gambling measures as slots continue to dominate the UK’s digital gaming landscape and drive overall market performance.
