The trend of demanding affs to sign agreements to be paid

So I've had a few programs come to me, all of a sudden, asking me to sign agreements so they can continue paying commission via bank wire. I've check the agreements, and there is just no way I am signing this bs. If you read it, there's all sort of nonsense in there and I am taking no chances with these programs. As if I know anything about these programs, who they are or how they could potentially use this contract against me at any point. Like bro, some of these are Russian businesses, I assume, or the business structure could probably be considered anything but transparent.

So far I've had Vave, Playamo and one more come to me with this bs and I refused to sign all of them. Vave are still withholding tens of thousands, Playamo probably won't be paying me now but the last one found a workaround for me which I am thankful for.

And no, I do not use crypto or ewallets and have made that clear to these brands early on.

I really dislike this trend. If anything, it should be me doing a KYC check on them. I shouldn't have to sign anything. Sending a document of proof of my business should be enough, especially since it's EU based.

So yeah, f**k these people. They won't get anything from me.

Its been in practice for years with the your named company and any company we work (and we work with a lot) that for Wire Transfers we have to sign the Agreements / IOs. At the end of the day, your / our affiliate managers are following corporate orders. At the end of the day you would win nothing not signing it and getting paid.

Been doing this for 10+ years and it's far from common. Out of all the hundres of programs I've worked with, only 3-4 have required this and it's typically the more shady off shore programs. So no, I'm not signing anything. Don't know if you've actually read some of these "agreements", but it's complete bs. Not even sure why it needs to be an "agreement". Should be enough to just send proof of company lol.

At the end of the day I save the headache of not getting some bs potentially thrown in my face x months or years later because I value my brand and am fiercly protective of it.

Yea feel you but its necessary (at least I was told lol) to have supporting documents for Wire transfers. Also one of the reasons we never had issues with our bank accounts, because we always have IOs and Invoices issued to the advertisers.

From my personal experience as an operator, we could pay 99% of wire invoices without any agreements made, but in that 1% the bank asked for the agreement to process the payment... and without it the payment just couldnt be processed.

An EU-registered company shouldn't be a problem. And definitely should not need those extensive agreements. Proof of company should be more than enough. If you've actually read some of these agreements, it's a joke. I don't sign them. I am willing to sacrifice the commission and take the loss, as I have done. They typically come crawling back trying all sorts of solutions and some have found good workarounds but as for those who continue to push those agreements, nope. Not doing it.
