Has everyone heard that google chrome is phasing out using cookies this year? As of today, they stopped using cookies on 1% of chrome browsers. Their plan is by the end of the year to phase them out 100%. Check this out.

Keyword: third-party cookies. The first party cookies that enhance the user experience will continue to work. In addition, they are allowing CHIPS (Cookies Having Independent Partitioned State) can be used where the cookie is passed on with an attribute "Partitioned" if the browser supports it.

There are also alternative methods that can be implemented, so this is essentially the death of third party cookies as a tracking tool, rather than the death of tracking tools.

That being said, would be important to know what the affiliate networks are using, cause anyone using third party cookies for tracking will need to adjust, and if they don't well it hurts you as an affiliate.
