The best Wagerworks programs?

Hi,

I am looking to promote further Wagerworks merchants on my site and I wondered if you have any advice on which are the best affiliate programs to sign-up to? I'm not sure if the ones I promote at the moment are particularly good

The things that seem most important to me (in no particular order) would be the affiliate software itself, the commission structure, the terms and conditions and how they convert

Any thoughts?

Many thanks

I, personally, only have worked with Virgin Affiliates. I had applied for Blue Square sometime back - but never received a response, so didn't feel it was worth it to pursue.

Ah, I get it... This was more of an attempt at linking than actual questions. You already are associated with a number of Wagerworks casinos, of course, and you put the tagging in so that you would get some relevant links.

Good work. Don't do it again, please.

Hi Guard Dog

Yes, I've tried three programs so far, but none have been particularly good so far, so was looking for advice - sorry, should have expanded on that in the question a little more, as it would have looked weird with the link in the signature.

Even though I have tried some of the programs, I am very new to affiliate marketing. It may be that my expectations are too high for Wagerworks programs and the ones I have tried so far are the best of the bunch. I don't know, hence the question.

I didn't have much luck with Blue square as the reporting was not up to much (it's down a lot of the time and doesn't even show clicks). I am trying Virgin at the moment, but the stats take a really really long time to load - do you have that problem?

Am now just starting to try getminted to see what they are like...

But, there are loads more Wagerworks programs out there, so thought someone here may be able to help me out and give advice, point me towards one or two they consider to be the best.

So no, not an attempt to just create a link - I really do want to find out which are the good programs!

Cheers

My apologies, then!

Yes, the Virgin Affiliate's backend stats are very slow. I, personally, have had a very difficult time converting their casinos as well for some reason.

I have heard getminted is good, but have not looked into them very deeply.

There are a few here who promote Wagerworks casinos, I will try to push them towards posting here :)

Thanks again for the clarification.

no problem, it was my fault for not being clear

I've found the conversions best at Blue Square, but the reporting is so bad I was looking for something better. They gave me an affiliate link that goes straight through to the slots page, which is very nicely presented - I think this helped conversions a lot.

I emailed the chap at Blue Square and he replied to my queries very quickly and was helpful. He says that a new reporting system shold be in place soon and they hope to revise the terms and conditions too (I queried them as I thought they looked a little worrying). The stats will still not be in real time, though, as Wagerworks do not provide the data that quickly to them

Like you, nothing much has come from Virgin for me. I don't know why - plenty of clicks, but no conversions.

I've only just put Getminted up (cashcade) - it looks fine, and I like the reporting at first glance. Unfortunately, it has not converted yet either. I need to give it a lot more time, though, as my traffic is not great, so it takes me a while to test a new program.

Those are the only three I have looked at so far.

Cheers

Good news - Virgin say that they are upgrading their systems over the weekend, which should result in much faster loading of the stats. This will make it much easier to use, so I'm happy about that.

Maybe they read this forum?

I wonder if they will be improving anything else about the affiliate site at the same time?

Hi Engineer

Would you be able to expand on that at all?

I'd be really interested to know which other Wagerworks affiliate programs have you tried and why in your opinion, Virgin is the best?

Cheers

There are 4 programs that I have been working with (or "attempting" to work with in some cases) --

Virgin
Paddy Power
Blue Square
GetMinted

Virgin has their stuff together; the other 3 programs aren't quite as organized yet.

Paddy Power sent me a check that I couldn't deposit (it was issued in £ instead of $, and it had "Paddy Power BOOKMAKER" written on the check). I'm not comfortable depositing a check like that in the U.S. I told Paddy about this, and now they are going to wire the funds to me.

Also, with Paddy Power, the stats aren't that great. I was disappointed last month because the "profit" figure that they show in the stats is actually the gross profit earned by Paddy Power -- it's NOT the profit I actually earned.

Example: The "profit" figured showed £600. But this is gross profit (not net). So they needed to subtract out the bonuses, taxes, fees, etc., and then I got 25% of whatever was left. I was excited about getting this big payment of almost $1,200, but in reality I only earned around $200.

They've been very apologetic, and they are working with me personally to smooth things over. They're going out of their way to make me happy, which is nice. So, Paddy still has a little way to go, but they're on their way.

Blue Square has predatory T&Cs, but I was told they would be rewriting the T&Cs in the future. I don't know what happened with that. Also, when I signed up, there was no "USA" option, which was kind of inconvenient.

Additionally, Blue Square still doesn't have the newest games by WagerWorks. This is kind of lame -- the new games should be there by now; it's been over a month since MegaJackpots and Elvis were released.

GetMinted made a stupid move a while back. They were going to replace their existing affiliate program, but instead of leaving the old program in place until the new one was ready, they shut down the old program on Dec. 31. The new program just recently went live. So, for almost 2 months, I had to redirect traffic from their pages to some other casino. Why they didn't leave the old system in place until the new system was ready is beyond me.

I haven't really had any problems with Virgin. They pay on time each month, and they are friendly and supportive. Virgin remains my #1 WagerWorks program. ;D

Thanks for that Engineer, great to get your opinion.

One other thing about Blue Square I noticed, (but it could just be an issue for me) was that when I registered to test it out, I registered a username and password, as is normal. However, when I went to log-in after registering (to try to deposit) I could not log in. Turns out I needed to use the 9 ID digit code rather than my username to log in. That may be obvious to most people, but it wasn't obvious to me. I wonder if many people sign-up, try to log-in with their username, fail, and leave?

Managed to log in to Virgin today after the 'upgrades' to the system, but it's just as slow as before - don't see the speed improvements they were talking about yet.
