Hi, I am interested in casino affiliate marketing, and have a few questions for you experienced webmasters.
1- Hosting; I am looking at hostgator, and bluhost. Will hostgator boot me for having gambling reviews, forum, ect?

2-I am a player on one of the brands I want to promote, should I close the account?

3- What is a good wordpress plugin for putting a cookie warning on my front page?

4-When it comes to seo, if i daily update news, blog ect, my ranking should naturally increase no? If someone can explain seo without trying to sell me something, that would be great.

Thanks for all the answers, and afgd. You guys are a great resource.

Not much help I know...
1. No idea - never heard of them. (What country are... you in? ...the Hosts in? ... you targeting?)
2. No. (Unless having an account is STRICTLY prohibited in their T&Cs. I have player accounts at nearly every casino I promote!)
3. No idea - never used Wordpress.
4. Yes, it will definitely help.

1. They don't accept gambling sites. Yes, you may have one there for a while.. but eventually they will boot you.
2. Just make sure that the casino is okay with affiliates having player accounts.
3. We don't show any cookie warnings on our sites.
4. Build authority with good content and links.

Hi!
1. Digital Ocean is a good one.
2. As NDG said, its better to check with affiliate managers.
3. Don't know , but I need to add those as well, so if I find the good one I will tell.
4. It will be a plus, but its not enough to get traffic. Content itself is just a way for your website to be visible in Search Engines, cuz they will know on what questions (keywords) you content can answer. In casino niche you wont get much with just a content, cuz to compete you need links, and lots of them or just really good ones. Its really tricky when it comes to SEO, especially in such competitive space as casino.

Here are the sources I've collected to give my newbies to read and learn.

I use Siteground for shared hosting - very good.
Account: as said check. For future notice - never have a player account assigned to your affiliate account. That's forbidden by all programs.
Cookies: I use GDPR Cookie Consent and you can define so it shows only in EU/UK and not in other geos where it's not needed.

Hello! Question number 4 - your strategy is good to start. But, this is not enough when it comes to gambling niche.
Try to add some relevant and quality backlinks to your website, for example: guest posts or PR posts, interview with authoritative gambler etc.

Hello everyone,

Me and my friend are starting an online casino affiliate website. We would like to buy a hosting and we are thinking between paying the extra money for a Virtual Private Server or to be hosted on a basic package (which is probably shared)

The price difference is great and we are googling and checking the benefits but I would like to hear your experience

And also we are going to have a Wordpress site, so I want to know for about 50 links for each category and we cant know at this point what our hosting needs would be. Is it enough if we get a basic package, how many guests currently viewing the site can our hosting hold?

Our strategy would be mostly focused on increasing traffic through SEO

Any other tips at this starting stage are welcomed.

Make sure to find the right host that meets your needs and is friendly to gambling-related sites.
That is the most important thing to start with. You can always upgrade from a lower package
to a VPS or dedicated server later. Affiliates tend to go with a VPS or dedicated server when
they are bringing in a lot of traffic, their web site requires more resources, or if they are just
tired of other webmasters hogging all of the resources on their shared hosting server.

If you are just starting out with a basic Wordpress site, and you don't have any traffic yet,
then you can just go with basic shared hosting. It normally takes time to bring in traffic to
a new web site, so you should be able to host on the cheap side until your site gets ranked.
Just make sure your hosting with a good provider that can easily upgrade your account later.
