Have any of you had any luck marketing on social media? If so, any particular strategy that you see work better. What I discovered is that doing like on target casino photos, messages etc usually has very poor impact and reach whereas, messages about life, comedy etc and trying to tie that to casino can have a better impact... but perhaps there are even better ways of doing it.

I can give you a quick summary of my success (well or lack of it)
#1 Google plus, doing it for about a year. I think I manage to get like two visitors from there. I am only hoping that google plus helps with SEO otherwise it has been a waste of time.
#2 twitter, worse then google plus :(.

#3 facebook, I get a little bit of traffic here, but usually it is just people interested in freespins, or free money so it has become a cost more than a benefit

#4 Instagram. just started... cant really say much, just that it is very time consuming.

Be cool to hear about your guys experiences :)

I have not had any luck but I have learnt some good marketing strategies. I usually delegate that out to someone trusted and skilled. That is not easy to find. Also, I would not think of using it as a boost in your seo, that can get you hurt. If good social marketing helps, then that is another benefit. These are two different mindsets.

I recently took a social media webinar and learned a few things that may be helpful!
1) Pick 2 outlets (maybe 3, but no more) and focus on those. For us, it was FB and Twitter with LinkedIn as a 3rd rarely used option
2) Be willing to put 30 minutes into it daily
3) Post 2 to 3 times a day to each channel
4) For every 'sell something' type of post, ie; come to our site and get the best exclusive bonuses on the planet do 3 posts that have nothing to do with selling or pushing anything on anyone, instead discuss gambling news, jokes, movies things that are related to your industry but not your business in particular
5) Like your competitor's pages and interact with them

All the best,
Sky

IMO, in our industry, it is just time-consuming, boring and close to useless. I mean it is ok to add some share buttons to your website. But as a real traffic/marketing funnel, I don't think so. I mean I do my business to make MONEY. And I do not want to burn every month x affiliate accounts because I ask for high CPA deals, make promises, and then only deliver typical $ 10 social media depositor bonus hunter. It may be that one or the other has fun with it, not me. SEO, Media Buy or Email Marketing are very much better choices if you want to generate valuable customers.

Ofc it can be gold if you run your own in-house community, which could you call SMM too, but that is a different thing. But I've stopped wasting time to hunting for followers (which will be for 80% your competitors with the hope you follow or tweet back) or posting tweets or building an FB page which will be closed sooner or later for sure. If you run any kind of REAL viral content maybe that's the way to go ... but usually, you didn't as a gambling affiliate.

Time wasted on Social media is best spent on organic, i have seen some wild claims but never any real evidence that it works well..

I've seen it work really well for sports betting (although most platforms have clamped down big time on this now) but I can't really see how it could work in the same way for casino stuff. I've seen slots/casino ads running on facebook and youtube recently but they are all operator run which is obviously a very different ball game.
