Social media for a casino affiliate site - is it worth it?

Hi everyone! I wanted to ask for opinions/experiences on having social media pages for an SEO casino affiliate site. I see a lot of the bigger sites having Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages sharing links to articles and casino reviews. However, they usually have very low to nonexistent engagement.

I see more reasons for social media pages when it comes to sports affiliate sites, as the betting community is more active on social media. But I don't think it's the same case when it comes to casino.

I wanted to find out if you are seeing any value in having a Facebook page or a Twitter account for a casino affiliate site? I know it's a lot of work if you want to do it right and build an audience. I believe social media can be a great tool and even a massive traffic source in other niches, but not so sure about casino.

Would appreciate your thoughts on this!

A lot of Facebook casino affiliate pages get closed down. Facebook can be pretty tight when it comes to gambling pages.

Thank you, that's good to know! Also I feel like more and more people are turning away from Facebook, haven't used it myself in years.

I'm thinking of perhaps starting a Twitter account, just trying to figure out if it's worth my time.

It would be a good idea to have Facebook buttons on your pages. We get some traffic from visitors recommending different
pages to their friends on Facebook. Twitter will bring in some traffic if you have a site that is focused on casino news.
