Current traffic sources are SEO and X.com. Site has been live for 2 months, how long should I expect to wait before reaching decent traffic numbers, and is there a proven method for increasing traffic in 2026?

I'll be honest with you. If you don't have a large development budget, forget about making significant progress in this industry. It's tough, and it's only going to get worse. Only the whales will survive. I know what I'm talking about.

Few diagnostic questions before throwing strategy at it — answers
change which lever to pull first:

1. What does "very little" mean numerically? GSC Performance →
total impressions over the last 90 days. If you're below ~500
impressions/month, the issue is indexation or crawl access, not
ranking. If you're at 5K+ impressions with low clicks, it's a
relevance/CTR issue. Different fix.

2. Is the site actually indexed? Run "site:yourdomain.com" in Google
directly. If the count doesn't roughly match your sitemap, that's
step one — figure out why pages aren't getting indexed before
touching content.

3. Cloudflare or any WAF in front of the site? Aggressive bot blocking
sometimes catches Googlebot too. GSC → Settings → Crawl Stats will
show Googlebot success rate. Should be 95%+.

4. How old is the domain? New domains in YMYL niches (gambling is
YMYL) sit in a quality sandbox for 3-6 months regardless of how
good the content is. There's no shortcut here, just patience plus
real engagement signals.

Drop the GSC impressions number and a "site:" query result count
and I can give you something more specific.
