Hi all,

I am new to the forum and couldn't find the introductions section so I'll just get started! My name is Buzzman and I am optimizing my website for the keywords "online casino" in the Dutch market by linking to it with this anchor text, keyword density etc etc

The strange thing is that I am at pos 61 for online casino while some of the subpages are nr1 for their keyword? How is this possible, is this a penalty of some sort? Many thanks all in advance

Welcome to the forums, Buzzman There really is not an introductions section, sorry for that!

'Online Casino' is one of the highest competition, keywords. My guess is that your site may be relatively new and with fewer inbound links than those who are in the top of the SERPS for those keywords. So - I really doubt it is a penalty (without knowing more about your site and strategy for linking)

Thanks for your quick reply guard dog, maybe it's true but I have been on nr 8 on these keywords. My feel is that has more to do with too many inbound links with the same anchor text. Could this be possible?
